So im on my second week almost third of quitting cigarettes. The problem im having is all my ejuices taste like crap and is giving me a headache. And these are all e juices that i absolutely loved. Ive got Belgian cocoa, subzero, coolmist and Kringles curse from halo, A bunch of popular ones from mt baker vapor and a few from bonzai like futterbinger and twinkie. Ive washed and put brand new heads in all of my tanks, switched out flavors several times and even my favorites from my first couple weeks just taste like crap. Could my taste buds just be healing. Its like it all taste like air and some even just taste chemically. Sucks because i was totally loving vaping just a few days ago but now its like nothing sastifys me. Oh and ive completely cleaned the tanks out and used brand new heads when switching flavors, feels like ive been messing with vaping stuff trying to get a satisfaction all day but nothing is working.

It happens to many of us! Some of the tips I have read are: eat spicy food, use a strong mouthwash, increase your water intake A LOT, rinse with saltwater. You will often hear to switch to a hot cinnamon or a strong menthol, or just vape unflavored since you can't taste it anyhow. Rest assured, though, it will pass... hang in there.

Hmm... you don't mention if these are new juices you've purchased since you first started, or the same juices that are causing this.

Chances are new orders need steeping Jason. Take the lids off for 2 days, and shake whenever you think about it. Put lids back on, leave for a week shaking whenever you think about it.

To "speed steep" a juice you could put a little in a glass bottle, boil some water, leave it to cool down a bit (so the bottle doesn't shatter) and let it sit in the water bath for a half hour. Many juices start out clear or lightest yellow - they're generally more ready to vape when they turn amber or deeper (not all juices you understand, but as a general rule).

You didn't mention any burnt flavors so I'm thinking you're taking a leisurely inhale, or roll around the mouth and blowing through nose and/or mouth. If you vape like you smoke, the wicks don't have a chance to absorb the liquid and you can get a burned taste from that.

Finally drink water, and I mean lots of water - PG/VG can dehydrate the heck out of us, so water water water is key.

Otherwise, take a break from flavored juice and vape some unflavored nic juice for a bit. It could be you're having some allergies, hay fever, sinus issues and they will resolve eventually. Hope so anyway!

Ive had the halo juices for about 2 weeks now and i have been loving them ever since i got them in the mail. I got the mt baker and other juices maybe 5 days ago and they were good as well at first. Its like this whole thing just started today. Thanks for the steeping tips, ive read alot about that. It just seemed wierd that i really liked them all but today i dont. Upon further research perhaps it has something to do with quitting cigs and like others have said it will pass. Darn it, lol why me

I feel ya! I went through the same deal about 3 weeks in. A 50/50 mix of cinnamon fire ball and the strongest menthol juice I had, in the lowest ohm atomizer I had was the cure for me. I felt like I couldn't get any satisfaction out of anything, and in hind sight, I don't think I was getting any throat hit at the time. Whether that was me, or the juice, I don't know, but the "Cina-Fire" as it's now known in my house LOL! was the sure fire cure. It's what got me through, hope it helps you.

If you dont mind me asking, wheres a good place to find that cinnamon fireball? Sounds interesting, i might have to get a batch with 2 day mail and toss it in with subzero.

I stuck with the same flavor for my first couple of months and loved it. Next thing I knew, it started tasting awful, so I went to the Vape store and sampled a few things. I found one that was decent but I wasn't wild about, a sweet tobacco flavor, and mixed it with the old stuff for a while and that was fine. Now I'm loving the sweet stuff all by itself and after a few weeks, the original started tasting good to me again. It's weird how your taste changes with this stuff. I've been trying to mix it up more, added a mango flavor and a peppermint flavor to my rotation and all has been well for a month or so with all of them.

Vaporbomb.com and ECBlends.com are the 2 best I have found for that.

This is my 3rd week of vaping. I got the headaches too. To much nicotine. Cut my nicotine level back. Headaches gone. I like only tobacco flavors. I am still searching for the right one for me. Tried NicQuid Midnight Express. Can't seem to use it, as it gets burnt in my clearomizer and turns to gunk. I sure did like that flavor! Burnt out 5- T3 clearomizer heads using it. Try cutting back on nicotine level, and as others stated drink plenty of water. You might want to try a different juice delivery system. I love the T3s. But I like a top coil even better. Top coil gives you a warmer vape. Going to order some T2s and give them a try. Heads are cheap to replace. Best of luck in your vping. Hang in there. It does get better!

Tucson, it's a dry heat
Your tastebuds are wonky the first few MONTHS of vaping. I'm at the end of Month 3 and I still have days where nothing tastes good. It's all part of the process. Don't give up on it - ride it out, drink lots of water, try lots of different juices (you will like them on and off and it's good to trade off), and play with lots of delivery systems (BCCs, top coil, etc.) When you find your groove it's great, but there are still "those days". Whatever you do to stay off analogs is good.

I am dealing with the same thing. I am a month into vaping and this phenomenon started about a week ago. I have had good days and bad days since. I find changing juices, mixing juices, using menthol or cinnamon (Fireball juice from smokersvapor.com) juices seem to do the trick. It really does suck when the juices aren't tasting right. Just keep at it, the good times come back.

Thanks everyone for your support, believe it or not my tastebuds going on vacation thing (for lack of better way to describe it) only lasted about 24 hours. Now ive heard it may happen again at some point in the future. I just woke up this morning and everything has been fine. One thing i did do last night is i had really spicy food for dinner but thats about it. Oh yeah, and i ordered a bottle of that atomic fireball for future use just in case, i like the sound of it anyway ill throw it in with some subzero when i get it lol.
