At those wattage levels even with the air flow wide open, you have to move a lot of air through the atty to keep the parts from getting hot. That means lung hits, not drawing air into your mouth and then inhaling. Are you doing this?

ECF is such an interesting place now. I learn new things every day. Now I know that high wattage vaping is for masochists. Who else would cope with hot tanks and lip burning drip tips...

Don't know if you've tried high wattage or not, but on a proper build/setup it can be just as cool as a 2 ohm build at 8 watts. I don't get the attitude here towards people who vape differently than others, kinda off putting, especially to new members.

You made me think a little, I have to concede: I do have an attitude towards two kinds of posts on ECF:
1. Posts proclaiming that only authentic hardware is really suitable for vaping: childishly elitistic opinion, which can affect people with limited income and make them to spend much more than really needed.
2. Posts proclaiming that high-wattage vaping is the best way to vape. I am pretty sure it is unhealthy way to vape, and while anybody has right to vape in any way anybody likes, I do not want ECF to become a place for propaganda of high-voltage vaping.

I think it comes down, as always, to personal preference. My kids got me into vaping and even they, with a couple of years vaping, can't handle the wattages I prefer now. I'm use my Atlantis at about 40watts.

I have a Sigelei 150 as well that I drip at about 70 watts in a derringer with a .2 build.

It's just what I prefer. Of course, I also like my 1.6 Nautilus at around 12 watts for certain flavors.

I say do what you like as long as it isn't hurting you. I have yet to see any evidence that higher wattages are harmful. If I'm wrong, I will change.

I don't get what vaping has become...

Let me help.

With big hot vape gear, the drip tip gets too hot for your lip tissues. So the answer is to just get a drip tip that won't transfer that heat to your lips and won't melt.

That means your lips won't feel the HOT vapor ------ before it goes down the delicate tissues and fragile cells in your throat, your esophagus and your lung tissues.

What don't you get? ;)

I don't care how others vape. I admit to being a lightweight though and I won't vape like that because I don't think it would be healthy for ME.

I've noticed the same thing with mine too, you REALLY need to lung-punch that tank. Like if I'm just zoning out, and take a slow lung-hit, I can feel the drip-tip getting hot VERY fast. I usually keep the tank wide open, as well as the drip-tip. I vape it on 60-65w and bump it to 75w if I want to show off to coworkers
