With the arrival of the May 24 weekend, we can all welcome the start of Summer and the accompanying police long weekend blitzes.
That got me thinking. Is there any danger of vaping causing problems with breathalyzer tests?
Actually, I don't drink alcohol at all although, I do cook with it.
I was just wondering if I was driving and then got pulled over at a roadside blitz, is there any danger.

I got stopped twice during the R.I.D.E program. both times the cop's where not amused.

1) Coming out of the Kettle National Lake (James Bay Frontier area) i had a extra large Tim Horton's i was sipping on. When stopped they asked if i was drinking, i pointed to the cup and said i was. They were not amused because it was plain old coffee.

2) Driving around one night during a hot summer i seen the police where doing the checks again, so i reached into the glove compartment, took out a beer label and stick it to my forehead. When the police got to my car, asked if i was drinking, i pointed to the label and said i was on the patch.......

sounique let me know when you want to try that theory of Alcohol absorption through the skin, i am so willing to swim in a vat of JD :D

This does not surprise me auto.gif

Heres what I learnt from taking a police course just recently. If a cop demands a breathalyzer test from you he must wait 15 minutes after you last smoked tobacco products in order to get a proper reading. I'd assume he would probably wait 15 minutes if you showed him a pv and started explaining it to him. Actually he probably would think your stoned out of your mind :vapor:

If it tests positive, you have the right to ask for a blood test for confirmation of BAC.

That said, police are pretty good about identifying your sobriety when they stick their head in the car to ask questions. RY4 doesn't smell like alcohol on the breath or skin. Your non-slurred speech would also tell them to wave you on.
