I know that smoking cigarettes does raise one's blood pressure to varies degrees depending of the individual. I am curious as to the effects of vaping as it relates to blood pressure. I am sure there are those who read this that have some information pertaining to this subject and I am very interested in reading anything that would "relieve the burden of my ignorance" in this matter. Thank you!

My background is in medicine (surgical physician's assistant). I'll give you my :2c:

Nicotine is a stimulent very similar to caffeine. It is a "vaso constrictor", meaning it can cause tiny blood vessels to constrict, which can cause hypertension or high blood pressure. So anyone with a history of hypertension, coronary heart disease, and peripheral vascular disease should be wary of nicotine products.

Nicotine also inhibits new bone growth. So if you have a healing fracture, spinal surgery, or any type of bone/joint surgery strongly consider abstaining from smoking or vaping with nicotine, or using any nicotine product.
