Recently got diagnosed with throat cancer. Does anyone know what the recommendation is regarding vaping while getting above treatments ? I travel to the Cancer Centre this Thursday where I'll be getting a lot more information before I start radiation/chemo on June 16th but wondering if I will have to stop vaping ?

If there is a more suitable forum for this question could the mod's go ahead and move. t.y.

Very sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Think Michael Douglas :). I don't think anyone here is qualified to give you advice, unless we have an oncologist in the forum. Best of luck to you on this journey.

After meeting with the cancer doctors there seems to be no clear answer as they both said they don't know enough about vaping to give an answer. There is concern however about heat in the mouth/throat increasing side effects as the inside of mouth/throat is prone to blistering etc. from the radiation. They both were glad I've changed to vaping as they agree its less harmful than smoking. So it sounds like it would be best to stop vaping at least during the radiation treatments. I'll pick up some nic lozenges and have cut back from about 7-10 mls a day to 2 mls to prepare to stop vaping.

Doubt that I'll be on the forum much in the next couple months.
Thanks for the kind thoughts everyone
