Lovely pic. I hate to admit this but. . . I've never had sushi.

Sushi is for the culinary bold. Or those unaware of the invention of fire for cooking things. My kid likes it and my wife likes it but I have yet to taste fish I like cooked so I can't imagine eating it raw. I cook boldly but I don't eat boldly.

What makes me laugh is when someone will say that they love sushi, and yet the only thing they will eat is a California roll.

Last week I ate at a Korean restaurant and had their fresh octopus. Which is basically octopus sushi fresh to the point where when they serve it to you, the tentacles are still moving. They did cut the tentacles into smaller pieces so it is easier to eat and swallow. If they leave the tentacles longer like they serve it in Korea, then they fight you going down.

Yup, that's pretty funny Susan, LOL. OTOH, while I have not tried that juice I do love seafood and the fishier it is the better :)

I regularly go to a seafood market up here that my wife can not enter because she can't tolerate the smell. I OTOH love hanging out there and regularly cook and eat their food. My wife does not however appreciate that food

For all you fish lovers here ... Since we are all vapers too, lets take this fish addiction one step further >

Go to the grocery store and down the aisle where they sell Chinese food like soy sauce. You will find Thai "Fish Sauce".

Buy a bottle of it and mix a couple of drops of it into your favorite vaping juice.

Gives a nice fish flavor and a strong fish odor to your vape.

Probably the best statement of all time that fits my girlfriend very well. I'm going to have to steal that. "I cook boldly, but don't eat boldly."

I like raw beef- as long as it is free range. Maybe someone should make raw beef sushi...

Raw beef is fantastic. That is the one thing my GF will not let me eat. It freaks her out too much. I have to sneak it with my father. We both love it!

Coming from a Sicilian family I grew up eating octopus in every way possible and I've never NOT liked it. It's what I look forward to the most at my big fat italian Christmas Eve party every year. My grandmother makes the best Octopus!!

Exactly my situation!

Next time you have sushi, ask them to heat it up in a toaster oven before serving. Warm sushi is the best sushi you will ever have.

The Volcano Maki on the right is served warm and is just incredible in every way. Hands down the tastiest sushi I've ever had!

I generally avoid vaping anything organic, but that is mighty tempting :thumb:

I have never met a fish I didn't enjoy eating. Well, maybe once (some sort of shark if I remember correctly), but for the most part I'll happily eat seafood anytime. I would also be happy to try vaping seafood juice.

I don't eat raw meat though if I can help it, no matter what environment the critter came from, so I'm not really into the eating sushi thing. I should probably try it sometime, but it has an 'ick' factor for me kind of like what I think people generally experience with vaping 'icky' drip tips.

I know, I'm weird. I'm OK with that though. We all have our crosses to bear ;)
There are some sushi rolls that are cooked. Som snobs may say that isn't true sushi, but I have been able to get my mom and dad to eat sushi by first letting them try a cooked roll.

Definitely worth a try!
