I have a couple of questions. One of the reasons I started vaping was a non vape friend of mine was using zero nic flavors between meals to help her lose weight and it worked. I have not gained weight moving from smoking to vaping and generally can report that I don't desire candies or cookies as I used to.

i have students who have tried my juices and are interested in no nic versions for themselves and I am hesitant to promote this. As a general rule I don't think people should add addictions to their lives however if vaping can help them I don't want to put it down. I'm just not the authority on this.

And before any one gets upset anyone who has tried the juice has also tried a cigarette in their adult life and while they are non smokers they have all been known to be social smokers and were warned my juice contains nic and no one has started smoking or vaping because of it, lol. As I said the interest lies in the fact we knew someone way before I started vaping that used it as a dietary aid, much like sugar free candies or skinny cow chocolate.

i even have no nic or low nic hookahs for friends who social smoke now so that they don't find themselves going down that path. I've even been asked to pack them on party nights by friends who know I stock such products for myself and are grateful that they have a zero nic option instead of being the social smoker. I used to loan out cigs to my non smoker friends and now I loan them a hookah pen, everyone is healthier.

Sorry, but I think this is a horrible idea. You want someone to pick up a vaping habit so they don't want to eat sweets? I would say the majority of people who vape are ex smokers. I doubt the majority of them would even be vaping if they had never smoked, me included. I don't think turning someone on to vaping that has never smoked is a good idea at all. Why not just eat the sweets? I have lost 54 Lbs over the last 10 months and I've done this while still eating things I love. I have a Hershey's Special Dark candy bar almost every day. Sorry, just my opinion.

I second that, bad idea for a weight loss plan. But if I had to choose, vaping is the lesser of 2 evils over smoking.

BTW, Sourmash, how did you lose all that weight?

By eating in moderation, lifting weights and doing some form of cardio a few times a week. I still eat everything I did when I was fat, I just eat less of it. Best thing I ever learned is moderation.

Understand that I haven't in any way recommended this to anyone who is not a smoker. Many of my friends know about this other girl who used vaping last year as a dietary aid. As I began my journey quitting these same friends began asking questions so I came here. I'm an extremely honest instructor and have been clear with non smoker and social smokers that I think weight loss should be achieved through diet and exercise.

I'm lucky to have a group of supportive friends who are actually interested in hearing about my vape journey and fully support it. Most of my smoker friends are now vaping because I've been sharing info and juice with them. I don't let my non smoker friends even bum smokes at parties anymore. It was always tough before because arguing with a drunk person isn't fun, now I hand them a zero nic hookah and they get whatever it is you get out of smoking only when drunk and I feel better that I haven't in any way aided someone in going down a dark path - the path I went down.

I've always supported 6 small meals a day with water and exercise. I've never recommended any kind of appetite suppressant because your body needs fuel when it asks for it. So,please understand I'm asking because I'm new and haven't in any way told someone they should do this.

I will say I also don't ever recommend sugar free goodies either, they are awful for you. I'm a proponent of raw treats. So if someone is using chemical laced candies to get their "sugar" I'm asking which is worse basically.

Well.. I'm a never touched a cigarette guy, who now vapes. Cigarette smoke (all the chemicals in cigarettes burning) sets off my allergies and makes me sick and hard to breath. I always assumed it was the Nicotine.

15 years ago I started smoking cigars, roughly 1-2 a month on average. And during the summer months fishing maybe 3-4 a month. I found Cigar smoke didn't set the allergies off.
I could smoke a cigar and be fine, the next day maybe a little less energy due to the smoking but in general all was fine.

I never smoked indoors, always outside. So winter was just a break from a cigar, no way was I going to go outside for 1-2 hours and have a cigar in such cold temps.. I tried a few times but it was always an unpleasant experience.
Springtime.. I'd end up having 2 a week at times. I never considered vaping cause I always assumed eCigs were just as bad as cigarettes.
After doing a ton of research on them when I heard someone say they just cut back to 0 nicotine on their eCig.. I found I could get a Cuban Cigar flavor liquid, and found *tons* of flavors available in 0 Nic.

Drove around to multiple B&M vape shops getting info and telling them my situation etc, I tried a Cuban Cigar liquid as a demo in store (at 12mg) and decided I was pretty much going to buy a cheap eCig right there. Then the guy told me all the flavors I could get in 0 Nic that he had in stock... Sold.

Long story short, and too much $$ spent

I have noticed that I have lost a little weight due to vaping.. I would not use it as a weight loss idea though.
What I have found is that when I get new flavors in the mail.. and set them up in tanks etc, I vape a TON that night.. and am not really hungry. I still eat dinner but have zero desire to snack, regardless of the vape flavors i'm going nuts with. Days that I eat, and either don't vape (or just can't for whatever reason) I do tend to snack later at night.. There may be some correlation to it, but again I would *not* recommend it as something to do.

I wouldn't get people involved with vaping that have never smoked cigarettes or cigars either. (or pipe smoker)
Going around and talking with some of the B&M guys around town I am not the only person that has come in to talk with them about "winter nic fix", most of the customers are smokers trying to quit though. I found out quickly that my only liquid with Nic, the cigar, gets very little usage.. maybe a puff or two a week. If that even.. still on the first bottle and ever the very first coil even.
And yes, when you tell someone you only vape 0 Nic liquid.. there are those that give you the "you're crazy" look.

I can vape the samples at B&M stores fine (I try to limit it though, and mouth only) but as long as they have a 0 Nic option, i'll buy it if I like it.

The big thing with vaping for weight loss comes from a bad habit that a lot of westerners have picked up. When we get bored we tend to eat. This can be a hard habit to break for a lot of people, and for some it can be an all out addiction. The idea is instead of reaching for that snack you reach for the e-cig. For a lot of people this has helped them break away from the non-nutatives in their diet, but using it to settle the occasional sweet tooth, I'm not sold.

The best way for women to lose weight is a healthy diet and to dance on a pole like in your avatar. That way, everyone wins. Just look how fit this young lady is.

She's my favorite! My absolute favorite! WEll, ok, one of them hahahahahaha! The international level is amazing!!!!

I just saw a member here mention using 0mg nic as a non smoker and lost 10 pounds, and it completely changed my mind about non smokers picking it up in some cases. As long as there's no nicotine, and it curbs those cravings I don't have a problem with it. I think it's possibly a good tool in fact. I watched my mother struggle with her weight all of my life. Food can be as much of an addiction as anything else, and if vaping can help then why not?

Plus the OP specifically stated 0 nic juices. That is hardly going to put someone into another addiction.

I think it's a fine idea. A lot of things people do have health repercussions, including over eating and snacking on sugary and unhealthy snack foods. Obv they aren't having a problem snacking on carrot sticks and fresh vegetables or they probably wouldn't be trying to lose weight in the first place. Junk food can lead to obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. Vaping could lead to problems too, ones that we probably aren't aware of yet. But could it be worse than diet pills or crash/yo-yo diets? I have definitely noticed that vaping dessert flavors has helped curbed my (sometimes excessive) sweet tooth. When I quit smoking about a month ago I didn't put on any weight thanks to vaping & I was so happy about that. Many people start smoking or taking drugs to control their appetite. I personally think vaping is much healthier than many of the diet aids I've seen people use. There are much worse habits people could get into!

Vaping cherry flavors has not kept me away from cherry pie. Willpower (of which I have little) has kept me away.

I have lost about 5 lbs since beginning vaping but I need to lose 25 more and I don't believe that's happening without some extreme measures.

I attribute not gaining weight since I began vaping is due to the nicotine and nothing else, but that's my belief only. I don't believe for a minute that's the way it is for everyone.

As for the vapor diet link I provided I think it's just another fad type diet with no substance.

My 2 pennies here.

You make a valid point. With that in mind, I have to apologize and retract my earlier statement.

I was 215lbs when I quit smoking & started vaping, now I'm 230lbs. It didn't seem to work that way for me. But, I am at only 8mg nicotine now too. Started out at 24mg.

I think is this an absolutely acceptable use for a PV. Who is to say that it is only good for smoking cessation. Now listen close, I mean 0mg nic, only the flavors. It could help dealing with oral fixation and cravings. And darn its better than a carrot stick! It helps me in that way. I remember a product that was little squirter bottles of flavored liquids that you spray in your mouth, for dieters. I see this as much the same, only better. Well for me anyway, its 2 birds with one stone.

I'm with the people that think someone wanting to lose weight should learn a bit about nutrition and start tracking what they eat and just eat less calories than they burn. Instead of eating 5 treats, eat 2 and some vegetables. People craving sweets, give fruit a try. And IMO, everyone able should lift...
