OSMOTIC DIURETICS
Osmotic diuretics are substances that are freely filtered at the glomerulus, but are poorly reabsorbed (Fig. 2). The pharmacological activity of drugs in this group depends entirely on the osmotic pressure exerted by the drug molecules in solution and not on interaction with specific transport proteins or enzymes. Mannitol is the prototypical osmotic diuretic. Its diuretic effect is not due to interactions with receptors or renal transporters but rather it is due to more complex mechanisms that involve osmotic effects on tubule epithelium and reduction of the medullary interstitial osmolality (30, 279). Because the relationship between the magnitude of effect and concentration of osmotic diuretic in solution is linear, all agents used clinically are small molecules. Other agents considered in this class include urea, sorbitol and glycerol.

...anybody have issues with dry skin related to PG use in vaping?

I suffer from dry skin but it's always been my problem from birth. I've not found vaping has made it worse or better. I have found that moving to Florida has helped Tremendously! :)

My lips get dry. Did with smoking, but more so with vaping.

Delrin drip tips cause me to have chapped lips and have switched to stainless steel. That has solved my problem with the chapped lips.

Try different tips made from other materials.

That's odd, I kind of found the reverse to be true. IF something's a metal driptip, I tend to switch to delrin or ultem. It's less heat conductive, so if I ever get a spitback (this is rare) I don't get burnt, and also, when I used to use ss driptips only, I would find they got gunked up way quicker than delrin.... This was back when I was dual using, and they'd get slightly moist and then get shoved in my purse, to collect lint and whatnot. To be fair I am much more focused on maintaining my setups appropriately these days with regular cleaning, but I still kinda have a "thing" about metal driptips. While it is as ugly as all else, I really appreciate the Siren V2 coming with that tiny plastic circle on top of the metal driptip. I also appreciate tanks that come with one of each.

I guess it's different for everybody.... :)

Most of my tips are ss, but a couple are delrin or ultem. Will switch to all ss and see if it helps. Thanks for the tip Robino.

Using SS drip tips can be a sticky situation during winter time, maybe not in Florida
