I'm scheduled to go in for an abdominal ultra-sound late tomorrow morning (probably nothing serious, but something ugly showed up on a bowel x-ray). The fasting rules I was told over the phone seemed more comprehensive than what I've heard in connection with other medical tests: "No eating, drinking, smoking, or chewing" from bedtime until the ultrasound. I didn't ask about vaping. I figured that if the person on the other end, if she didn't know what vaping was or what the policy was, would probably err on the side of strictness.

Is there anybody here sufficiently acquainted with ultrasound procedures to venture a guess as to what the impacts of my vaping might be on the ultrasound?

I go in for a CT scan next Tuesday. Turns out I have COPD and what looks like scar tissue but they want to make sure. Except for a chronic cough I feel fine. I had lots of respiratory stuff since I was a kid. Pneumonia at least two times and Viral Bronchitis a bunch of times so naturally I started smoking. LOL Hope it all turns out well. I have a 4 hour fast for mine.
