there are plenty people that subohm 36mg of nic
After I realized what I had been doing wrong. I went to my local vape shop and talked to the owner. He was blown away that anyone would sell a guy with a dripper 18 mg without making sure that's what they wanted. He fired 4 people that day and offered me a refund for every bottle of juice I ever bought from his store so I HIGHLY DOUBT there are many people out there sub ohming 18mg. Oh and just because you've seen a couple people doesn't make it the norm.

I didn't say it was the norm, just that people do it. Different people have different tolerances to nicotine. My goal was to end my addiction, so I've gone from 24mg down to 3mg in the 7 months I've been vaping. I plan to be at zero by the end of the year and quit completely within another couple months.

Most people that over-do the nic just get a mild nic od. Sweating, the shakes and get jittery. Eat some sugar and that will stop, then you vape less or lower your nic. Pretty simple.

Wow so this proved the article false because it had 'Light medical information'. That might be the most pathetic attempt at proving something false i've ever seen.
Look at it from the other side. Some nurse made up some bs. If it was real, there would be more facts showing the damage. Surgery to fix the hole in his lung, ct scans, something to prove there was a problem that was caused by vaping. Hooking an oxygen hose to a stm doesn't prove anything either. There is no evidence either way. If the claims were real, they would have shown evidence in the first place, but they did not.

Yeah but what were? you vaping out of at 24? That's the biggest factor.
Heck, I didn't like 24mg in a beginner mtl set up. I was a 3 pack a day smoker so the staff tried to sell me 36mg, but my research beforehand told me that was probably not what I would like. Now, I did vape 18mg sub ohm, stm and a TCT. Not for long though. I didn't like the way it made me feel, simple as that. Why couldn't you have done the same? There is a whole world of info online, and I'm sure you had a smart phone and Google, why would you listen to a minimum wage employee?

The short answer is I did. I searched THIS FORUM and most of the info I could find was about PG/VG ratio. That's what I thought caused the strong HIT. I got used to it after a while is all I can say. Even most juice sites refer to 18mg as 'regular' or 'medium' It was a very simple but costly mistake that I made; but that doesn't mean I am Anti-Vaping. I'm Pro-Vaping-Safety which is why I posted that article.

You obviously didn't do much research. There are stickies with newbie info. Susan~S likes to post a copy and paste from there with decent beginner info about nic, vg/pg info and more. Even then, I don't think the nic caused your problem. A nic overdose causes temporary symptoms. And like anything, you can build a tolerance to the nic and be able to handle more without problems.

Believe it or not, I would like to know what caused your problems. I still strongly doubt it was vaping, but I am open to seeing proof. So far, I havent seen any. I see bad timing and coincidence, but that's it. There are too many people on this site that have medical proof that vaping has helped them for me to write it off. Your problems could be indirectly vaping related, a severe allergy to an ingredient in juice, just being reactive to high humidity even. Heck, even a bad juice company adding unsafe ingredients. I believe it was Suicide bunny that used titanium dioxide for flavor... If you were excessively reactive to something like that, it could be bad, quick. It could also be something completely seperate and just bad timing as well.

I did A LOT of research but unfortunately I was reading obsolete EVOD/EGO advice. I didn't know that when you move onto drippers the nic level has to go way down. That wasn't apparent on any of the sites I looked at. The damage to my lungs was more caused by the fact that day 1 on the dripper I was vaping 18. Most people who can tolerate that high or higher have worked themselves up to it slowly. I shocked my lung tissue to the core on day 1. That's the ACTUAL reason why my lungs were damaged. But just like anything else, by the time you feel breathless, severe damage has already occured.

I just don't see the nic doing permanent damage like that. Too much will have you throwing up, sweating and shaking. But it isn't that damaging to tissue and cells. Something caused your problems, but I don't think it was nicotine. If you were snorting pure nicotine, then yea. But from my research, it doesn't build up to that level that quickly.

I'm not doubting your condition, just what caused it. I don't see that relatively small amount of nicotine doing that much damage over that short of a timeframe.

Passing in your sleep is overrated. I wasn't supposed to see my 16th birthday, and it's led me to doing all kinds of crazy stuff. At 14 I turned a boat into a kite at over 140mph, had a stand up jet ski that did over 100mph, and I've participated in quite a few death defying sports. I always figured my death should warrant some attention. Haven't found the right way to go, so I'm still here at 33. Survival and healing has more to do with your additude than anything else, keep your head in the right place...

To the Original Poster.
The Sun is a tabloid. It is not a factual news source, and I would not classify anything in it as reliable health news, But if you like, right now on there home page there is an interesting story about a widow who can sniff out diseases.

As such, I believe that this thread has run its course. Not a real news source, has no place in the health section. I've moved this to media and general news and closed the thread,
