You don't have your age present. Possible reasons for a chronic cough are different in different age groups. I get you're vaping as a hobby and something to occupy your hands.

That said, any cough that lingers, regardless of your suspicion of cause, should be evaluated by your doctor. The doctor should know you vape. If after an examination and reassurance that your is not a "physical' illness", you can turn your attention to perhaps altering your vape style. If I were to bet if this is related to your vaping, the juice you're using is the leading culprit. But please do take the advice of seeing your doctor first. There are many causes of a cough and getting medical advice off a forum isn't your best option.

I know that there are tonnes of posts about coughing, and I know coughing up phlegm is completely normal when you're quitting cigarettes - My issue is that I have never smoked a cigarette in my life. Vaping is a hobby for me. I use it as a substitute for sweets and something for my hands to do while I walk my dogs and such.

I've been vaping for about 1 month and a half and lately I have been getting a cough when I'm not vaping - It's usually not too bad but some phlegm does come up.

I vape a Wismec Realeux RX Mini at 80w with a Cleito 120.
My juice is usually Witchcraft 70/30 which I enjoy a lot and I vape at 3mg (I enjoy using nic)

Any help is appreciated, should I be worried that I'm coughing even though I haven't ever smoked cigs?

Only question to you....why on earth you should tighten that rope around your neck as a non smoker via using nicotine???? Just WHY? Plus so high W. I smoked for almost 20years, now for last three+ years i vape, dropped from 12mg nic to 1,5nic 50/50 blends and never go higher than 60W. So you as a non smoker without "trained" lungs start heavy just to get bigger clouds? Anyways for coughing - i cough sometimes too, but only if something wrong with coils(like when you freshly make new build and vape like a kind) But after a while vape gets thinner and somehow irritates throat alot more. Something to do with coil not heating up as much, yet you try to inhale stronger to get same feeling as with newly built one. Anyways, big BOO for using nic as a non smoker as you can get same "feeling" without nic just right flavors + menthol/peppermint for that throat hit.

Another thing, too much flavoring(atleast my throat reacts to too much flavoring so i have to use more base and weaken the flavor) Atm mixing 1mg flavoring per 100ml base and its just right for me, plus add a bit menthol and or peppermint for smoother vape.

You can add up to 10% distilled water to your vape though you might need less than that if you have some PG. However, if PG is an irritant to you, you can remove it completely and just use VG and distilled water. You may have a PG sensitivity that is worsening.

I'm not going to tell you not to vape (you are already doing it) but I *AM* going to tell you to go to a doctor and get that cough checked out, it is the start of flu season after all.

Thinning your vape (especially if you vape a lot and at high wattages) may help you however.

Best of luck, please see a doc if it continues. I can't use much PG at all and so I use water instead, and it works out fine.

You could maybe try using the temperature control in your mod. Use something like nickel/titanium at .4 to 1 ohm and keep the temp around or below 300 F. That might be a little easier on your throat. You may also want to consider an investment in the DNA 250. I just recently got one and let me tell you, the difference is night and day. The smoothness that comes out of this thing makes the other mods feel like cheap $6.99 disposable e-cigs.

Also, if you say you just picked this up as a substitute for sweets and a fidget spinner, then why even use juices with nicotine? Why not use nicotine free juices?
