Right after a couple of weeks I figured out I needed to go to 0 nic after dinner.
Seems I would have difficulty sleeping and when I did...the dreams were bizarre !
There are many threads here re sleep and nic...most are probably in Health, Safety an E-Smoking
(try searching with : lucid dreams)

Quite odd too...always had that extra cigarette or two before jumping into bed before.

Lucid dreams are the best!! :)

I had the same issues, and i kinda still do. However i had some sleep problems even before i stopped smoking. And it got alot worse when i stopped. I've read that you can also develop insomnia when your quitting with the smokes.

After some time i had to get some sleeping pills from the doc, funny enough is that i don't use them. I'm kinda against all sorts of medicines, even headache medicine. So i only use them when i've been awake for 48 hours and not been able to sleep.

Funny though, when i had a minor relapse on the ciggs i sleept like a child those 2 weeks. So i think It's because our bodies are used to something in the cigarettes that messes up with our sleep, or rather our ability to calm down before sleep.

All these posts seem to blow away the theory that one gets much less nicotine as a result of vaping than they would smoking. I don't know anyone who smoked/smokes who didn't/ doesn't smoke a cigarette shortly before going to bed...

It actually does not. People all smoke at different rates,so what might be a low amount of nic for one would be higher for another. People all have different tolerance levels due to any number of things some of which include weight, metabolism etc.. all of this means that levels will be different for each person, and vaping is a relatively new activity and many people start at levels too high for themselves. Not dangerous, just higher than they would need. also, people do not often understand the fundemental difference in nicotine absorption differences between vaping and smoking. When smoking nic is absorbed in the lungs more effectively. In vaping it is absorbed in the mucus membranes of the mouth and nose more effectively, so those who exhale vapor through the nasal passages are getting more 'contact' time for absorption, all of which changes the need levels.

Finally ... not ALL people have trouble sleeping and/or dreams caused by nicotine when vaping. I don't. I vape right up until bedtime at the level of nic that I vape during the day. I also occassionally grab a quick vape if I get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. No problems. I did have some problems 3 years ago when I started because I was vaping at an extremely high level of nic (24 mg)... it was more than I needed overall, much less at night, but even then I didn't have dreams. Me personally I got dreams when I used the patch 10 years ago.

So -- no, it doesn't reallyl blow away the less nicotiene from vaping theory. Not if you take everything into consideration.
