Preferably, you want 2.0-3.2Ω... so what you're using looks OK to me. I tend to use 2.2-2.7Ω with eGo batts.

I'd recommend you try them with a 1.8 ohm coil though - even without Variable Voltage, you'll get more oomph from an Ego with a lower resistance coil.

...., I guess it's all a matter of taste.

I just had a duh moment, maybe I should clean the battery contacts where the clearomizer screws on. I did that and I got more vapor, but I am going to try a clearomizer from EVOD. I can't afford to buy a variable voltage battery right now. I have a sick car right now that needs to go to the doctor right away. She needs new spark plugs and cables, plus new control arm bushings.

That it is. When you don't have the option to vary the voltage on a device, the only way to change to power level is to change the resistance. It takes a little more effort to experiment, but there are sweet spots to be found.

Yeah if you get juice on top the batt connector, it will keep it from working right, if there to much then it stop working totally.

How do you change the resistance?

By using different resistance delivery devices, like 1.8Ω, 2.0Ω, 2.2Ω, 2.5Ω, etc.

Wattage is the power produced. The amount of watts produced depends on the voltage interacting with resistance. If you can't change the voltage, you can change the resistance to increase or decrease the power level.

(wattage isn't illustrated clearly, but it would be how much of the amp guy is on the other side)

I would have to buy a clearomizer with lower ohms then?

That's it. (Don't some of the clearos you are using have replaceable coils?) If you get something at 1.8 ohms instead of the 2.2 to 2.4 you are using, basically, the coil can get hotter and do it more quickly - resulting in more vapor. Don't go lower than 1.8 ohms with your eGo type batteries. They really aren't designed for it.

I keep reading about LR not being for eGos, but I don't have a clear understanding of amps and battery life so I can't quite get my head around it. I used 1.7Ω cartos in a carto tank on my eGo (Joyetech ≈ 3.3v) without any problems. I need to grok amps.

Has anyone here used the evod clearomizer by kanger? Are they any good? I'm thinking about getting a few from Discount Vapers.
A lot of people use them and they're very popular. Simple, sturdy clearo. The hit is slightly airy IMO, but not objectionably so. I own 4 of them and they're my second favorite juice device (next to carto tanks).

A regular ego stick uses a lithium cobalt type battery which are generally rated for 1.5C. That means that if the capacity is 650mAh then the rated current output is 1.5*0.65=0.975A which in turn means that on a flat regulated ego stick(3.5v) the max rated power output is 3.41W.. thats pretty damn low even for high resistance attys. Exerting a battery over its rated power wont make it instantly blow up in your face (takes quite a long time of holding down the button for that to happen) but it will corrode the insides of the battery which degrades its capacity. The higher you go over the limit the faster you degrade it.

Can somebody tell me if I'm vaping properly. Every ecig site that sells them promises "clouds" of vapor when you use their product. I own 4 EGO style e-cigarettes and when I puff on them I only get a modest amount of vapor. I even puff on it until my cheeks hurt from puffing so hard sometimes. Am I missing something here? I admit I get more vapor with my EGO style than when I used the traditional e-cigarette.

Which eliquid is better for vaping PG or VG? I've heard that using VG gives a thicker vapor than PG. Can the EGO style ecigs use VG or would it gum up the clearomizers? How many users on this forum use VG eliquid? Does it give a better vape than PG? I'm sorry for all the questions, I'm still a newbie when it comes to e-cigarettes.

That might be your problem right there. Try taking longer, lighter draws, if you draw too hard you will lose vapor.
