Hi all. I've been vaping for about a month or more now. I was so pleased to be off cigarettes. So much so, my mother, brother and step dad have also started vaping, which I thought was great.

But....

my 901 really dropped in performance. I have bought new atomisers (from 2 different suppliers), new batteries, cleaned out the lint, cleaned out the old atomisers, changed flavours. Still not as good (has my tolerance to it increased then?)

So then I bought a 501 - oh my god the burned taste knocked me sick!! Tried drawing and exhaling it, keeping it in my mouth for as little time as possible, trying to 'wear it in', but the burned taste will NOT go.

And now my 901 is tasting burned as well. With a freshly cleaned (coke soak) and dried atomiser. And also with a brand new atomiser.

My throat is hurting, my mouth is dry, I was in a foul temper - in the end I resorted to a normal cigarette (cringe) and my temper subsided. I'm now thinking the e-cig must be far more addictive than I anticipated, as I am very unimpressed at the prospect of no vaping tomorrow!!

In desperation, I have trawled the forum. Ended up thinking I should just tell you all what's happening and see if anyone can help me... PLEASE!! what on earth have I done wrong? And am I right to regret getting my family changed to these things?

It could be just what I call a BVD (bad vape day) :) . Some days it seemed just nothing would work right. It does get better. My guess is it's the attys. Order a couple more, or try some cartomizers. I've been using the 1.5 Dual Coil cartomizers for the last 2 weeks and it's made a world of difference. Good luck.

I second try boge cartos...when I first tried 510 attys..my throat hurt for days with that awful awful primer on them, even an alcohol soak didn't get rid of it.

Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce has decent pricing, ecigforum for extra 5% off..if you have the smaller 510, go with regular resistance (3.0 ohms), if you have the larger battery ie, eGo, 2.0 is primo!

A 501? You mean a 510? The "stick" battery? It sounds like you need to try cartomizers on your 510. A BOGE 2.5 or 3.0 Ohm would probably be a world of difference. I know there's some 501's out there... but I've never seen one.
Yes 510 Boge cartomizers, are easy to use and do not need to fill so often.

Wishing you calm courage! I truly believe this will pass for you quickly. I read something on here about crackers and water and tried that. It either helped or my storm had passed. Hang in there!!

I had a bad vape day BVD as well. I went through an Altoid tin of clean atties and all tasted burnt. Once that taste was in my mouth nothing helped including brushing my teeth, mouthwash, a brand new atty, ect. I felt panicked and ran to the store for nic gum. I had never tried it but it helped with the jitters and edginess from lack of nicotine. I ordered cartomizers. Before they arrived all was back to normal. I can't explain it. Even though we may feel and breathe better vaping, most of us still have a powerful addiction to nicotine. Good luck!

in my short life as a vaper i have been in touch with over 60 thousands vapers,
to be a vaper requires a learning curve , some peoples are able to quit cigarettes since the first day others not, probably you are one of those that think that a cartridge is equal to 20 cigarettes , that's your burning taste

you could also be allergic to PG try vaping VG
