So I've been vaping for a while now, about six months. I'm using the eGo-T rev a. I have some 510 attys with drip tips, but I don't like them at all. RedBull 26mg from cignot is pretty much all that I vape. It has the most palatable taste for me and enough throat it to feel it.

My lungs feel a million times better, which is vitally important for me since I use my lungs for my job, to say the least. I also don't smell anymore, which is another nice plus.

I have reached a stage (and I still do it a bit frequently) where I sometimes just vape and vape. It's addictive, but somewhat a waste of time to vape for an hour, imo. Now I'm trying to have vaping sessions where I vape for a while enough to not want to vape then I try to take a break for a while. The french inhale is the most satisfying way to inhale for me. Getting the vapor in through my nose affects me much differently.

Unfortunately, vaping is not satisfying me the same way analogs did. In the past month I've had a cigarette every other week or so and I feel so much better after doing it. It relaxes me so much better. I've also moved to Chile in the last month. Here smoking is very common and not looked upon anywhere nearly as poorly as it is in the states.

On one hand I'm tempted to pick up smoking again, but I won't. My lungs can't feel that way again. I am believing that perhaps it's that we're not really absorbing the nicotine well or we're not getting the MAOIs, as some have hypothesized. Have there been any advances in vaping so that it can mimic the way smoking a cigarette feels?

One crazy idea would be to add an MAOI to the ejuice, but there are many obvious complications with that idea, the necessity for a prescription seems to be the biggest one.

Having hit the same spot on more the one occasion myself, you simply need to continue experimenting with equipment, mods, juices.

I hit that wall several times with my eGo and well juices before I figured out what issues I had. I did find my sweet spot eventually and it was with a VV mod and a couple juices. Anyway don't feel bad if you grab an analog, just keep going and don't settle into i must use X with Y juice, experiment you'll find your sweet spot eventually.

I think a lot of vapers hit that point. If you smoke an analog every few weeks- don't beat yourself up over it. There are some medicinal compounds in tobacco, and really I don't think I would take the same drugs in pill form.

I bought some mods to move up to a full 3.7v vaping experience, and Boge 2 ohm cartos with some 30 mg DIY juice is my sweet spot. Having a few mods gave me a comfort level I never had with my Rivas.

I hope you find yours!

Yikes! Admittedly I have no info on the advancement of vaping in reference to your question...but my first reaction to adding MAOIs is...really bad idea. Aside from the rx issue - just handling an MAOI ... and not being able to control the dosage...big prob. Also admit I havent read thru this thread yet..just first reaction to OP.

Vaping never satisified you at all? You've been using the EgoT most of the time? What strength were you vaping...and just the red bull the whole time? Never tried anything else?

Congrats on the six months! That's a huge accomplishment. It must be more difficult being in a locale where smoking is super common. My lungs feel tons better..amazing really isnt it? I only have 60 days in...so I'm really looking forward to being able to say 6 months! :)

Good points. Thanks merlin. Interestingly enough, I just switched to a mix of banana and chocolate and it is satisfying me much more than the redbull (now called Energy Cow). The tough thing is that I'm in Chile and it's tough to get juice. I have 250ml of another RedBull from myfreedomsmokes.com that I don't like at all... le sigh.

Thanks for your advice. Time to buy some more I think!

Vaping did satisfy me for quite a while, it's just I've hit a wall like SuziesMom says. I think I need to switch up the juice.

It is a bit difficult being here, especially since people sometimes look at you weird! haha, still, it doesn't bother me much. I hate the taste and smell of smoke.

No responses on the extraction of WTAs?

From what I understand: When we vape our extracted nicotine, we're only getting approximately 90% of the extract from tobacco, and that is for the most part, nicotine. Apparently, a good chemist can actually extract the remaining 5-10% of the alkaloids not normally found in e-liquid. Whole tobacco alkaloids they're called.

Now, I've never tried them, but! There is a video review of a reviewer using a juice made with WTAs and he claims that it reminds him of smoking a cigarette (he gets similar feelings of smoking with it). There was a nice and well written blog about the whole process and how though some may be satisfied with vaping the way it is, others will not be because the extract is missing those alkaloids.

If I had a link, it would be more helpful, I know. But, maybe someone can chime in with the vendor selling these juices and perhaps this could be the answer to your lack of being satisfied. Good luck!

Edit: Here's the blog http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/dvap/403-its-not-just-nicotine.html

Edit 2: And here's the video review http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...acco-alkaloid-menthol-18mg-aroma-e-juice.html

And here's the vendor selling WTA juices http://www.aromaejuice.com/

We all hit that point. Like a poster above me said, try higher voltage vaping. It really opened new doors to me. I went from an ego to a vv and it was a completely different experience.

Also try higher mgs of nicotine if you haven't done so already.

I also agree with you when it comes to French inhaling. It burns a lot more which better resembles a cigarette.

Listen, never let people make you feel weird for just being you. It’s ok to stand out – maybe you are a leader! Perhaps you should start wearing a trench coat and selling PVs …all lined out in the lining :D Not like you don’t have a customer base or anything!! March to your own beat – it secretly makes people envious – maybe this is what you see in their faces. When you have a bad day just come to ECF - you’re in good company. Plus, I personally like to own my weirdness – it’s what makes me unique :D

I’m not sure what vaping red bull would be like – to me it tastes like a sweet tart – more tart than sweet. I use a few juice vendors – Vermillion River is my very fav. Their juices are very pure and not sweet – except for my all day vape – Hot Cinnamon. This juice packs a punch I crave and nothing else is like it. I also use Ms Ts Bakery – but for fruits, beverages and a few candies/mints. I recently sampled Pink Spot Vapors and I have to say their fruit blends are truly awesome. Maybe step up your mg for a bit and have those juices on hand when the hard days hit.

Here ya go…just in case:

When I hit that point at about 6 months I tried snus, you may hear that it's just like dip but it isn't, I can't stand dip. Go to the Other Alternatives to Smoking and check out the Smokeless tobacco section, they explain what it is and how to get. You may also want to try Stonewall Dissolvable Tobacco, the taste takes a little while to get used to but they work.

As an update, I switched to dripping into a 510 atty. In the past I had terrible luck with this, but I wasn't blowing slightly into the atty before vaping. The liquid wasn't hitting the coil. Now I enjoy it much more than the eGo-T, although I still use it.

Anyway, a LR 510 atty has been much more enjoyable and relaxing. Interesting... I'm also enjoying some of the juices I didn't like before. Perhaps it was just they were steeping. Anyway, a menthol 18mg has been great. And this is a much lower nicotine level than I'm used to (usually 25mg).

Thanks for the advice to try to mix things up. I think I just became too used to my juice and pv.

Jerethustra - hey listen - a very good friend of mine has an Ego-T and he figured out how the make the std attys work as well or even better than the LR attys. Just like you, he got really frustrated with this Ego-G non performing - but he dinked around with it and made it better. Here's the link to his review -

Maybe this will be helpful to you :D

Increase the concentration of nicotine until you vape as many times during the day as you did with cigs. It is easily doable. If you are like I was, you are being pulled away from your original objective by this forum where most of the people want to sit and vape ice cream. Don't let this forum deter you from your original objective.
