My wife had to tell me to cool it. I started with an Evod VV then a Ego Twist for her, Protank 2 and a mini, then a itaste VV v3, a kts+, carto tank and cartos, 18650 batteries, a Magneto, Igo-W, cotton, kanthal, ohm reader, Niitecore i4, Nemesis, Chi You, Brass Nemesis, Rocket, Kayfun 3.1 clone and finally e-juice every other week. Ill prolly pick up a Russian 91 then cool it until something gives me the "WOW" feeling. This is over a 7 month span btw.

Haha good point ck...but believe it or not I quit smoking cold turkey about a year ago and just enjoy vaping.. Started about a month ago or so

me too Matan, me too.!! my mother's death triggered a "craving" to pick up the sticks again, my sister smoked and being around her more than usual if I hadn't gone to vaping, I might be smoking now also. (I quit 5 years ago:ohmy: and it would've broken my mom's heart to think I started back, so voila! here I am.

I justify my spending on vape gear by looking at my purchases in the amount I would have spent on cigarettes that I am now not smoking.

" I want that Atty!......Let's see....$25 with free shipping is about 4 days worth of cigarettes.....Heck ya I can afford it! (presses the 'add to cart' button)".

Currently spent more than i have saved by not smoking getting, mods, attys, wire, cotton, flavor concentrates, plastic bottles, a couple gallons of VG, and PG with about 500 ml of 60mg Nicotine, etc but figure that in 4-5 months of not smoking I will be even.
Best of all I have something that is worth more than any amount of money.....my health, and more life :).

AND a new hobby, (for those that need or want one.......me!)

I feel alone. :( I have not overspent what I used to spend on cigarettes. Generally I play with all my new toys and buy more if I really like something, couple mods for home use, many tanks for variety, or see something that really blows away what I have already. Some of my impulse purchases rarely get used. I try to only spend half what I spent on cigarettes. Waiting can easily lead to more purchases, I have wondered if retailers get together and plan this.

.......n it all I think about is spending money on new rtas, mods, dream set ups, even cool looking ego set ups, I've already spent close to a thousand bucks on my vaping addiction YES addiction, if I keep this up, con ed and my landlord can suck a fat one cause my money is going straight to my vape shop down the block, vape on people

Between me and my wife, we were smoking roughly $4,380 worth of cigarettes per year. I could buy a Provari, KFL, and a half gallon of liquid every month and I would still save money.

You could probably skip the Russian. It's almost identical to the Kayfun 3.1. The Russian is basically a KFL with airflow control added.

I have taken practically the same route. Now I'm rebuilding genny's and drippers sub-ohm. All in the last 4 months.

This hasn't really been an issue for me. Yeah, I've bought some nice stuff, but I also spend a lot of time with each thing that I buy before I buy something else. Also, I buy based on function first and form second, and if something doesn't offer me a new experience but is just nice, I make myself wait a month. If after a month a I still want it, then I get it. Rarely do I ever want anything that long just because it's pretty. I have gear that covers a range of different vaping styles, but there's almost no functionality redundancy. I have one really nice all-purpose mech, one really nice pocketable vape, I have one really nice DNA30 coming. Etc etc. I know people who buy everything and eat Top Ramen to pay for it, but at the end of the day I know more about my gear and can get more out of it. Also, I eat steaks and fresh veggies and fruits.

Remember, you can only ever use one device at a time.

I sometimes wonder what my mail lady is thinking when I went from just standard envelopes of bills and junk mail to boxes and padded envelopes being delivered on nearly a daily basis. I'm in good company. You all seem to relate to my obsession with vape gear and juices. Must have them all.

I've wondered that, too, but some of the stuff that gets delivered, the return addy has "Vapes" or "E-Cigs" in the name, so I figure he must know what it is; with 2-3 vape shops in this middle-sized metro-Atlanta burg, there must be a lot of other vapers around, so I'm sure the PO knows what's going on. And they're probably grateful; until someone invents one of those doohickeys they have on Star Trek to replicate and beam stuff here and there, all these deliveries are SAVING the post office!!!

My budget FORCES me to do this, so that by the time I actually order something, I've been thinking about it and searching out great prices for so long, I'm sure that not only do I want it, I actually feel like I need it, for whatever reason, and that I'm getting the best possible price I can find.

Poverty sucks, but it does force you to be wise in your spending!

I used to spend money like water on my computer addiction. Nowadays, I'm really over that; I had to buy a keyboard recently, but that's the first computer thing I've bought in 2 yrs. Next yr I know I'll have to get a new computer, because XP Pro is just about dying its last gasps, but with MicroCenter so handy and so cheap, it won't be a huge deal. When I smoked, I was spending $176 every single month as regular upkeep - even if we had to reduce our food budget, I HAD to have that $176 worth of cigarettes (plus the lighters we had to buy at times); I've been vaping almost 2 months now, and I might have spent $176, or maybe not; it's probably close to that. So that's at least a 50% reduction from the cost of smoking -- nevermind the physical cost to my body!

I figure it's really a win/win situation -- my intake is less costly, and healthier, so it will cost me less in the long run. So I think it's ok if I indulge myself now and then, with vape stuff -- I just can't do it in a big way, with our budget! :D

Eventually you slow down. At least I have. After 11 setups, an array of juices, extra parts, and accessories. My plan now is only maintenance (coils, refill juice supply, etc). I intend to take the amount of money in my sig banner when my husbands extra duty pay hits the bank, and put it in a savings account. Then every payday, deposit the difference between that balance and the amount in my banner. Sure it'll take a while to hit the break even point. But once I do, then maybe I'll get a new toy :)
