Hi all,

I wondered if anyone could help me, I have just started learning to drip and just completed my first build but I don't seem to be getting the desired flavour and just wondered if anyone could advise me.

I use,

26ga kanthal AP1
7 wraps
Dual coil
Japanese organic cotton
Velocity rda clone
Evic vtc mini 75 watts (usually vape around 40-50 watts)
0.52 I reach ohms.

Been vaping slam berry by charlie's chalk dust and I get no flavour

Any urgent help would be great full

Some RTAs and RBAs are cloud chaser attys with big airflow, and others are flavor chaser attys.

I would recommend a shotter Atty

Such as Freakshow Mini, Rogue, Darang, derringer, snub nose, Bambino, Mako shorty, stumpy, Hobo, etc.

howdy - and welcome

Two_Bears advice is solid, as different attys are designed with different results in mind

that being said, try reducing the airflow on the atty some - very likely will improve flavor - they also make a velocity mini (shorter cap) for that reason as well

Yes cutting the airflow will give better flavor. But since he is reducing tge airflow. He will need to reduce the power.

At high wattages it needs more airflow to keep tge coil cool and not burn tge cotton.

Welcome to ECF!

From the pics you posted, I'd say you need to decide if you want to space your coils or have the coils touching. This may be the only problem that I see. Better pics might help out a bit, but you may be getting uneven heating of the coils that you have.

You may have to increase your wattage, and draw harder on the drip tip to keep it cool. Try drawing (inhaling) harder. Try adding more juice. Try adding less juice. What is the max wattage on your device?

One thing you might do is try out the UD Ferris Wheel for Kanthal A1 pre made coils. In spite of the fact that I have tons of wire, sometimes I buy them for quick coil changes.

Don't be dismayed by having bought the gear you have. I've got 5 mods now, 2 different style tanks(Aspire Nautilus, Aspire Atlantis and buying Aspire Clieto), 2 different RDAs(Twisted Messes Squared, and Mako Shorty), at least a gallon of nic, 2 boxes of Koh Gen Do cotton, 2k ft of wire...and on and on. You learn as you go.

My current setup is a Sigelei 213 with a Twisted Messes Squared RDA. It's a dripper setup just like yours. I vape at 150W to 175W, and it's supposed to be for clouds...but if you drip enough juice in to my RDA, it produces the best flavor of all of my devices. THIS is what you learn. You learn to adapt how you vape to the gear you have through trial and error.
