Thought I'd toss this in here..

I just spent three days at the Disney parks in Orlando, FL. Vaped in public without trying to hide anything (all their parks are non-smiking except a very few designated spots). Not only did I convert two people who saw me vaping (I emailed them lots of links from my phone) but one of the security guards overheard our conversation and pulled out his own PV and vaped with us. He said that Disney employees are not allowed to smoke on the job even when out of view of the public but they seem to have no problem with vaping. I even went through the security checkpoint WHILE puffing on my Prodigy V2!! No one said a word!!

Was at Disney World a couple of weeks ago, the few times I pulled out my PV while in the park, not a word from the Staff. I usually found a nice quiet spot and puffed away. Did get some questioning looks from other visitors at the park.

I wonder if you're the 1 guy my sister saw lol

They just moved out there a couple weeks ago and as soon as they got there took the kids to Disney World. She told me she only saw one guy vaping the whole time they were there.

She said the smoking areas were easy to find because she could smell her way to them lol

Glad you posted this! I was wondering myself as i'm going down for a week in august and was curious what the reaction will be.

I don't plan to cause a fuss if they actually get pissy about it but that's great to hear one guard even vaped with you! and then through a security check.

As long as I can get away with the occasional puffs when i'm not in a cluster of people, that works for me.

Disney Corporate's "policy" (as they haven't really come out against them or for them per se) is the opposite. But I'm finding that as more and more people become informed about vaping, they tend to let it slide...unless you get a crabby guest or cast member. I prefer not to push the envelope myself.

This is from a conversation with Disney Corporate taken from a Disney related forum:

Although Walt Disney World does not yet have a policy specifically addressing "e-cigarettes", it is their general policy that smoking is smoking, and a cigarette is a cigarette and, therefore, should be confined only to "Designated Smoking Areas"

I have seen people actually smoking cigarettes outside the Smoking Areas and nothing was done about it either. Like I said, depends on that particular cast member. A few years ago, I had a very uninformed cast member ask me to put out my cigarette IN the smoking section! I calmly pointed to the ash/trash can that was clearly marked. They turned, red-faced, and walked away.

Let's hope you all encounter more cast members like the ones the others mentioned above!!

We were at Disney in May and I vaped in all the parks. I did have a few cast members stop me to ask what I was carrying ....had my GGTS which is huge! Only one thought I was smoking but once I explained she wanted a card for a friend.

We were in a long line for a tram after the closing of MK when a security guard near us wanted to know who smelled so good. Turned out it was me since I was stealth vaping. I ended up demonstrating my GG and then giving him a few information cards.

While there, I did try to vape in the smoking sections so that people would ask questions. I figure every convert is one more person for our cause. :D

If you are considerate and courteous, you should have no problems. Before you leave for your vacation, print out a few cards with links to this forum and a few hardware/liquid vendors.
