How many of you vape in the office? Do coworkers look at you funny?

I vape in the office. My office is in the corner and sort of out of the way, and I'm the president so no one comes in to my office willingly, so most people haven't noticed. My business partner thinks it's hilarious, especially when I work up enormous clouds from 100% VG juice.

I vape in my office all day! My boss is cool with it. He thinks I'd get more work done if I'm allowed to vape vs standing outside 5 to 10 time a day to smoke. He's pretty cool. Before me he had never even scene an e-cig. Our business is pretty small ( there is only 4 employees on site) so no weird stares. :)

DITTO! I have a real office with a door and nobody is bothered with my vaping. All of my coworkers know I vape, I keep my MonkeyBoxx on my desk all day, everyday. My boss thinks it's interesting and is totally cool with it. He even took a hit to try it and he doesn't even smoke!

I don't usually vape in the office but I could. The guys I work with are cool with it. Small office, just the 3 of us so no big. They thought it was really cool actually. One of their dads died of lung cancer, and he was the one that was the most supportive. That kinda surprised me.

I try to keep the same routines I had when I was smoking. When I'm home on the other hand, I am rarely without my PV in hand :)

Wow that is so cool, getting to vape at work. I'm sure it does help being the President too lol

That is true! I have a group of presidents and CEOs that I meet with once a month to discuss business direction and culture, and none of them smoke. I don't think they'd be open to allowing vaping, but I think I'll start softening them up on the issue.

Ya know, when I just reread my original post, I felt a little like an a**. Our company is 100% employee owned, so it's not a traditional corporate thing. About 1/4 of us smoke, and we're in Minnesota where the weather can be brutal, so if anyone on my team wanted to try e-cigs, I'd support it. It does make me much more efficient, without having those stopping-and-starting for smoke breaks. I'm a better business leader now that I can focus on work, and not be distracted by "when do I get a cigarette next" thought.

Apparently after a discussion with the higher-ups, I can vape in my cube, provided I do so discreetly. I just don't since it feels awkward.

I get to vape on the checkouts if I want if no customers are around and I'm not making any clouds of vapour. And actually my militantly anti smoking co-worker is very supportive of my using an electronic cigarette. I vape in the canteen and she's cool with it. She even said that the toilet smells 100 times better now I vape menthol.

This said, I rarely vape in the canteen (unless I'm really into the book I'm reading) and I almost never vape on the checkouts because it feels really awkward.

I've vaped in a meeting with all the management at my company. I'm an engineer, and I have a handmade unit, so they were all interested, made some good-natured jokes at my expense ("the e-hookah" for one) and didn't have a problem with it. In fact they like the idea that I'm not interrupting work to go out for a smoke.

When in a situation like this, though, I take small vapes and hold it in for a while so as not to be puffing out huge clouds of vapor.

And I have found that often the most rabid anti-smokers also seem to be the most supportive of vaping.

I vape at my desk and just about everywhere at work. I have even vaped at meetings, sort of forgetting about it because it's such a habit to carry it and vape it whenever I want. I've been vaping since January, so everyone I deal with regularly are already "broken in" to my vaping and my PV's. Yes, I get the hooka and .... comments, but I in jest turn it around on them and say they just told on themselves by even knowing what those are :)

Nobody has complained about my vaping and most think it's cool. All are glad that I am no longer smoking cigarettes. One of my clients just laughs every time he sees it saying "if that doesnt look illegal, I dont know what does". Considering I started out with a small 510, then moved to eGo batts with a map tank, and now a copper infinity with the map tank, it's understandable why he sees it like that. The only place I dont and wouldnt vape is in the cleanrooms and subfabs... everywhere else is subject to my vaping there LOL

I vape in my office, but I am upstairs and in the back. I don't vape in the "public areas". I am sure most of the employees know that I vape in my office, though I am not
sure if the boss knows. Kind of a "don't ask, don't tell" kinda thing.

Absolutely! I'm vaping right now - and, yes, I'm on ecf at work as well. ;)
Like VpnDrgn, I'm not sure if my boss knows, but she is in the adjacent office and must have heard me talking about it with my coworkers. One of which started the same time I did so there's two of us in here stealthily vaping throughout the day.

I figure as long as no one walks in while I'm mid-puff, it's not a problem...

I found that as well. Maybe not the rabid part ;) I usually hit a local beer pub here in Houston for lunch once a week. Place is always pretty busy and like most everywhere else, no smoking indoors. I vape away and have yet to hear anyone complain, or even talk about it in over a year. I get the usual questions, "Is that one of those... things?" Why, yes it is. "Does it work?" Haven't smoked a cigarette in over a year. "Oh... wow!" LOL Then I give them a business card I made up with links for them to find about e-cigs for themselves. :)
