New to the forum, new to vaping living in London (UK not Ontario or.. where is it? Kentucky?)

Used to smoke 10 a day but thanks to vaping I don't smoke that in a week now. Once I have finally got myself settled with a decent set up, I imagine I will be off the analogs entirely.

Tried a couple of very cheap e-cigs from Amazon which were great but had short lifespans. Got Greensmoke starter kit. Initially very impressed with smoke production if less so with TH. However within 24 hours both batteries were completely non-functional.

Credit where it's due though, GS customer service immediately sent out replacements along with a free 8 cart sampler pack and a cigarette case.

So should I stick with GS? Is it possible to get cheaper replacement carts or refill existing ones?

Please bear in mind I am in the UK, so some US suppliers will not deliver here and even if they do, the P & P may be prohibitively expensive.

I am still in the 30 day refund period so I can change my mind.

I am probably going to purchase a KR808D-1 from liberty flights following recommendations from this forum and especially the wonderfully helpful vids from Mistress Nomad. (How cool is she? Concise, articulate and informative. And cute. Am I allowed to say that?).

I am considering the KR because it looks more like a cigarette but on the other hand I have heard that you get a better TH from a 510.

Sorry if I am asking the same old boring questions.

Thanks to all the knowledgeable posters on here and the informative vids and links. I can honestly say that in a month or so I will be completely off analogs. I still have a few when I am drinking but once I have a working, reliable, high smoke volume e-cig, I think I can kick that too.

I started out with the GS as well, but became disenchanted due to apparent quality control issues. Add to that, the expense of their "proprietary" setup and, well, I just decided to try something else. There's quite a learning curve with vaping, and I tried several of the "cigarette like" models before I decided I didn't really care about the looks so much as the function.

I'm now using an ego t branded from Totally Wicked, but often convert it to a regular ego, and my wife uses the regular ego (she got the pink). I still use mine with the "tank" setup for long excursions out, but when able to refill the carts, prefer the flavor of the regular ego with a 510 atty.

There seems to be a "process" of trying different setups, and different folks have different expectations/needs, so its hard to say what's "best" for you, but don't be afraid to try different PV's to see what works for you in your particular circumstances.

Even having gone thru several to find what I liked, the cost was still under what I'd have paid for analogs.

The GS kit was what I started with, and it helped me quit analogs. Only thing I find wrong are their prices, but feel their units are good. I actually love their cartos, except for the hard tips, but their tobac flavor is quite nice.
Whatever makes you happy...my batts have been going strong for the past 2 months, and I do use them a lot. I now have 8 batts, 4 different types, just in case tho.
BTW - had a 5 pc box of cartos that were dead - emailed them - same day they sent out free replacements.

I recommend you get 5 total posts or replies and wait about an hour and ask in the UK section of ECF. The UK people will know what is available in the UK.

What I don't like about Greensmoke besides their prices is that they are one of many rebranders who sell KR808D-2, the near but incompatible twin of the more popular and supported KR808D-1. In addition, these rebranders usually lie about how long a carto lasts, don't sell blanks, don't want customers to know they can add juice one carto and use it for days. They just want your money and want you locked into them for supplies.

In the US, multi-brand vendors and reasonable-price rebranders like Vapor4Life sell the KR808D-1. The D-1 model is the most supported 2 piece threading (possibly the only supported 2-piece threading) for new types of blank cartos, for atty adapters, for fat-battery models.

But I don't know how it is in the UK. If you like prefilled cartos then maybe UK doesn't have a source of good prefilled cartos for the KR808D-1 like we do at Vapor4Life.com. Get your posts/replies, wait an hour, then go here:

After two of the replacement batteries sent by Greensmoke ALSO FAILED after a week, I decided enough is enough and I will be returning the kit. I would strongly advise anyone against buying from Greensmoke. The product is unreliable and the cartomisers have a brain-bogglingly short life.

So I have decided to invest in a Tornado Tank kit from Totally Wicked. I spoke to their sales line and they were helpful and informative. I should receive the kit tomorrow and will post my impressions when I have had a chance to try it out properly.

Thanks to all the posters on here for their help and advice.
