I only tried it this because I was hoping it would cut down on the amount of smoking I did in the house. My first purchase was a SmokeTip kit that my daughter told me about. She quit smoking by using it so I figured it was probably good. Well, I didn't like it at all and almost gave up, but decided to give the e cig another try. I found this forum, did lots of research for several days and ordered a Joye 510 kit with different liquids and empty cartridges from Cignot. I received my package yesterday and have been experimenting with the different liquids. I've found that I don't like the PG liquids as they leave a strange taste in my mouth. That is probably why I didn't like the SmokeTip. The VG and Ecopure liquids are great though!

I was smoking Marlboro Menthol Ultra Light 100's...about 2 packs a day. When I woke up this morning I only had 5 left. I fully expected that I would need to go to the store and buy more, but I haven't! So far, smoking the e cig is keeping me satisfied. I am very surprised. I'm now thinking that I might just go ahead and try to quite analogs entirely.

This forum is great and thanks to everyone for all the wonderful reviews and advice. I feel like I've embarked on quite an adventure :)

When we find our own PV's that work for us is where the decision is made that we can actually do this. A few panic moments and then the satisfaction is there. After the trust is built then it becomes a brand new journey. It's a great feeling to say "I can do this". Now the fun begins on trying all those great juices out there. Congrats!

I've never heard anyone put it like this, but I would say this is well put and extremely amusing. Made me laugh.

I'm glad to see that you've found a PV that suits your needs.
The Joye 510 was an excellent choice. Now, it's time to find some tasty fluids.

Good luck vaping :)

I was the same on the day my KR808 came - I have a half pack of analogs left and actually tossed them a few hours after my first vape. Been reading over the forums and I feel like I'm one of the few that uses a KR808 full time but I really do like the vape and simplicity of the cartos. Got some new flavors today and a few bottles of juice so I can try refilling them. About a week in now and loving it.

If you look in the V4L subforum you'll find lots of people who use a KR8. I am vaping a KR8 myself and I love it. But I have an eGo on the way as well. I was warned my checkbook would take a beating. :D

Congratulations on starting your epic journey to vape-o-land!

Your first quest is to toss out ANY and ALL analogs.

Second quest: ???

Third quest: Profit (from saving money not buying analogs)

Been over a week since I started vaping, since day 1 havent had an analog since, so far i've saved $90 analogs are expensive here in NYC over $10 per pack.

As for the people on this forum, 2 words: Freakin Awesome!

Everybody seems to have some knowledge to pass along and here they do it freely leaving out the snippy and snide comments (or at least keeping it off the forums.) I've learned much here, and so will you :p

You are going to LOVE this Adventure BeLindaFL!
These threads are so informative and everyone here is very supportive. I lurked these threads for a couple months learning as much knowledge as I could absorb. New ideas and new information comes in daily. It is all so very helpful.

I smoked for 48 years. After my last analog in January the old body has finally detoxed. Took 3 months to do but the journey to wellness seemed effortless with my 901 in my hand.

Best Wishes for a Happy Vaping Adventure!
:)

Thanks for the welcome posts :)

I don't want to send the two e-cigs that I got from SmokeTips back. I'll do some more research here and see if I can find some cartridges that I like better.

Belinda, I too started with SmokeTip - fortunately for me I liked it enough I quit smoking altogether(smoke-free since january 2010) However, like so many, I joined this forum and became very curious about other models. I now have three different brands - all variations of KR808d-1 SmokeTip; PremiumEcigs; Cigeasy-"Easy" model. What I found was the various cartridges really do make a difference. So now I utilize cartridges from other companies but can still use them on my SmokeTip batteries and it is much better (the SmokeTip carts-tobacco flavor are fairly harsh I think). Anyway I agree with you that you should keep your SmokeTip batteries and USB and AC adapter and try using other compatible carts. My favorite is now the "Easy" model from Cigeasy using Marlboro cartridges(16mg) really pretty smooth - but they also work on my SmokeTip batteries. The SmokeTip batteries give me a little more throat hit and the "Easy" model is much smoother. It's nice to have the variations.
