I won't rehash what others have said--big ups to you for at least trying and for reaching out for advice instead of giving up vaping.

What I'd like to add is this that I didn't see mentioned-- on top of not beating yourself up, also don't allow "friends" to beat up on you either when they see you smoking after you've said you are quitting.

Once you find your sweet spot and technique you'll be just fine.

Oh and by the way, I appreciate your honesty, because your definitely not the only one facing this issue. Being able to acknowledge it and try to fix it by asking your fellow vapers and ex-smokers for help takes balls, and you've got big brass ones
:2c: <--those aren't pennies, they are brass balls :)

lol, ^^ good stuff right there.

rounding third and heading home...
I still want to point out that WTA is still cheaper than cigs. not everyone processes (in their bodies-don't mean the vendors) nic juice the same way. upping to 36mg regular nic juice may do less than actually vaping 12mg of WTA. I know because it is what finally worked for me. to those who never tried WTA because they were able to successfully transition without it I say "good for you". some folks like myself( and maybe the OP) are crazy to ignore the aid of WTA to get off analogs. I would definitely recommend trying WTA first before advising someone to keep smoking or go back and pick up a cigarette again.......

I may be going against the conventional wisdom here, but if you feel like you need a cigarette now and then (while vaping), you won't be breaking any unspoken law if you do.

Not everyone who vapes quit cold turkey. I allowed myself a few cigarettes a day my first week. I started with 24mg nic, double what you are using. If I felt a craving, I vaped more (harder). If that didn't help, I allowed myself HALF of a cigarette. Saved the second half for next time.

By the end of the week, the cravings got less frequent or were not as strong. The cigs started tasting bad and not satisfying. I began to prefer the vape. At the end of the week when my last pack was done, so was I. I never touched another cigarette again. One and half years later I've never had a craving for a cigarette.

We have a saying here on ECF. "It's not how many cigarettes you smoked that count, its the ones you didn't."

For the time being, focus on just cutting down on the stinkies until you get the vape thing on with a higher nic juice. When you're really READY to quit, you can...and will.
I second Baditude's attitude! And here's the thing, you might be *afraid* you are going to go back to analogs if things keep up like this. Well, maybe if you don't have a cigarette now and then (right here in the beginning) you will go back to it anyway, thinking you are a failure :-(

A lot of people here (I am one) started vaping and watched as their cigarette count per day just dropped like a rock. We who did that and eventually got down to 1 or 2 a day and finally said "oh come on" and decided to drop that 1 or 2 because they were totally unsatisfying compared to vaping, we will have a totally different experience than you. We realized we just didn't want to smoke anymore where you might be feeling like you're depriving yourself. I have only been off the analogs for a week---and believe me, I NEVER EVER thought I would be able to quit smoking! So I still--like today--have an urge to pick one up, but when I consider the urge I think of how awful my last ones were, how unsatisfying compared to vaping. I mean, your "journey" is up to you but if I were you I would tell myself it's okay to have one now and then (if this is going to work) and if you have the proper equipment and juice you will come to loathe them and when you have an "urge" you will remember how awful they came to seem to you and refrain. "That's my story and I'm sticking to it":2cool:

Like many have said here, do what works for you. I quit in two weeks by cutting down on cigs while vaping (18mg). Eventually, I preferred vaping. I was so insecure about it, though, that I carried cigarettes with me everywhere for another couple of weeks after I quit. But, at that point -- after 38 years of smoking -- I really didn't want them anymore. I still don't, after about ten months.

You'll be fine. Up the nic, smoke if you need to, and don't worry about what anyone else thinks. Do what's best for you!

Also, start searching for juice that you like. That made a big difference for me.

Same here, had a near full pack of smokes on me my first two weeks... I even carried it without a lighter thinking that I wanted smoking to be more hassle (bumming a light from someone) to encourage vaping (my batt were always charged up)...

Light up if you have to, the day will come when you light up and have to put it out because it tastes gross.
Funny. I just smoked less and less till one day I realized I hadn't had a real one for three days without even trying to. Of course noting that, I just had to run outside and have one just to see what I'd been missing.

That was when the full nastiness of smoking was really apparent.

Minute by minute don't give up. U can u got us.
If a minute is too long break it down into a second.
Heck those thought will become less and less and less.
I was a teo pack a day smoker, if I can u can too.
I just passed the three month mark. Yeah I did have those cravings,
but over time they have lessened. I may still get them from time to time, but they do pass.
It takes 30 days to make a habit

Also, one thing, NET's might be a good try. It's juice extracted from real tobacco. I'd recommend Mountain Oaks Vapors for that because they have an extremely high safety and quality standard (and use glass bottles, a must for juice IMO). They have NET's ranging from what many call sweet and light, to smokey and extremely heavy. Other companies have them that people describe as exactly like a cigarette. Sadly, bad luck has prevented me from trying a NET yet, but MOV's NET "Sunday Morning" is sitting in my drawer waiting until my battery comes in!

36mg juice is better than mouth cancer

No links to cancer from swedish snus.

The health justification for the ban was subsequently weakened after numerous studies found that there was no significant correlation between Snus and mouth cancer. The way Snus is prepared significantly reduces the levels of carcinogenic nitrosamines, meaning that despite the popularity of the product Sweden has one of the lowest mouth cancer rates in the EU.

In Sweden, smokers have another option

:)

I use it sometimes, it helps.
