Got up today, cleaned the DID clone, reused the wick but made a new coil and it works near perfect! 1.7ohm, 5 wraps, and I didn't even have to tinker with the coil. The legs (connections to the positive/grounds, I think that is what people call legs) don't glow at all and it is a nice and even glow throughout the coil.

Looking for advice on the air hole... it is vaping pretty good now but not as thick as I thought it would. I seen a lot of people have bored out their airholes to 1/16 of an inch... is that a good idea for vapour quality? The draw on it right now isn't too tight, I am used to Vivi Novas and I find them way more airy than this clone.

Also, it must be hard to get a higher resistance coil... I figured 5 wraps would give me 2ohms or more... I have seen people posting about three and four wraps and can't understand how they get by with it.

Hm. Unless you have a really narrow wick, 5 wraps should come in at about 2.5 ohms or so, if you're using 32ga. kanthal on a ~2.5-3 mm diameter wick. Still, if it's heating evenly and not throwing errors up at you, that's the main part.

Far as vapour goes, is your air hole lined up with your wick? I know that some of the DID clones aren't perfectly lined up. If your air hole is off by even a couple mm, it'll diminish the vapour. If it is lined up, then boring out the air hole will definitely increase vapour.

My wick barely fits into the wick hole, I have to push it a little to get it in... I thought the resistance should be higher too, I am using 32 awg. I'll play around with another coil after awhile and see if I can get some more wraps in.

The air hole is lined up, I just don't tighten the top cap all the way and I have checked and it is still air tight if I cover the air hole. I have found that if I tilt towards the wick while vaping it has better results.

Last thing, if I just fire the coil without the top cap on and let it fire for maybe 4 or 5 seconds, sometimes the wick is actually lighting on fire? I don't know if that is normal, I assume it is not, lol. Vapes fine with the top cap on, and if I try to get it to flame while tilting it towards the wick it doesn't catch fire either. Sounds scary, but as long as the top cap is on it, I guess it doesn't have enough air to ignite. I am running it right now at 4.2v.

2012/12/16 18:38 VANCOUVER Item was released by Customs and is now with Canada Post for processing

Does anyone know how long this 'step' in shipping usually takes? It hasn't changed since that last update.

Did you get the priority or express type of international shipping? I purchased the express when I ordered and I had tracking after it left the U.S, but I believe I read somewhere that priority international does not track past the U.S... can anybody verify that?

As far as boring out the hole, I did on all of mine and it increased vapor production, what I did was use a small round file instead of a drill, this way i just did a little at a time and kept trying it out as I went. This way you don't wind up with too big a hole and not like the end result....and it is really simple.

I bored it out to 1/16, vapour is a little thicker and can take shorter draws now and still achieve the same vapour... I like your idea of using a round file and stop filing where you like it, my patience isn't the best sometimes and I had already started getting my drill out not long after I asked about doing it...

Not sure what I prefer, the way it came had a draw more like an analog, just a little less thickness in the vapour and it took a longer draw.

My Cobra just shipped yesterday and I don't think I will bore that out but I didn't mind doing it on the DID clone.

I am using a 2/3 wrap of 32 on my iHybrid and the vapor is great, i found that 4/5 was too high in the ohms department...but I am using a mechanical mod with no kick.

Express, atleast I think so. The $40.00 option lol. What I pasted there is what is showing up in Canadapost, so it is tracking it.

The shipping is pretty steep eh? Likely it is in transit to Calgary or somewhere near you and they didn't update the tracking properly. It won't be long now!:toast:

Hopefully! I'm really hoping to get it before Friday because I will be leaving for the holidays. And yes, the shipping is brutal haha.

Delivered to my door while I was still asleep. Signed the parcel off and cracked it open, one whiff of this juice and I was WIDE awake. Haven't vaped it yet.

That's a nice size bottle! What does this "Pluid" taste like? I have seen so many people rave about it but haven't seen an explanation on flavour. I definitely like the colour, looks radioactive! mmmmm. :)

Black Licorice with Citrus is what I've been told, but lots of people don't get the citrus.

Okayy, vaped on the pluid for a while and it is without a doubt the most flavorful juice I own or have ever tried. Everyone knows a good amount about it by now, but here's yet another persons take on it.

When you take a pull off of it, you get a very sweet taste, which is nice as if it didn't have as much sweetness to it I doubt it would be as good. As you exhale you get punched in the face with black licorice. The black licorice taste to me is more along the lines of a black jelly bean or a black jujube (jubejube) because of the sweetness to it, I get a nice candy flavor. As for any other flavors mentioned by other people, citrus, spearmint, etc, I get none of that, at least not yet.

That's just my first impressions. There is so much flavor in this juice it makes it hard not to like, which is why I think some suggest that even if you don't like black licorice, you might like this juice. That sweetness to it really brings it home. I'm really hoping that I'll start to taste more of the other subtle flavors with time, this is just the past half hours worth of vaping.

Downsides to this juice is that I have no choice but to drip right now. All's I own are vivi novas and cartos that are plastic and see through. This isn't a big deal if the 100ml bottle were to come with a dripper of some sorts. Makes it hard to drip without anything like that, and I don't have a massive collection of various vape accessories. However, I did put it in a see through carto temporarily just so I don't have to keep dripping for now. I will NOT keep vaping off it as I know it melts plastic. Just unfortunate for me as that's all I own right now (*patiently waiting on my zen cobalt to arrive so I can put it in there!!!!*)

Other than that, it's a pretty neat juice.. like nothing I've ever tried before. The flavor is intense, it coats your tongue, it's nice and sweet and I haven't been able to put it down. Should you definitely order some when it comes back in stock? Depends. I am a sucker for buying things that are hyped up and popular. Don't expect it to be life changing, just expect a SUPER flavorful black jelly bean vape. That's MY opinion of course. As I said, I really hope I start tasting some of those background flavors (whether they exist or not :p )

once you get a nice working coil and wick JUST NEVER TOUCH IT AGAIN.....EVER lol

Amen..... I was "fixing what wasn't broke" on the weekend, and suddenly a perfectly good coil was popped lol. Oh well, it was good practice and didn't take me long to replace it. But yes..... don't fix what ain't broke! ;)
