Vaping Newbie

I have to say that this site is great and I am glad to have found a place to go that offers such a wealth of information. My mother is the one who actually introduced me to vaping as well as this site. She gave me all the equipment and liquid to get me going and since I started I have not looked back! I am actually surprised that I have had no desire for a regular cigarette, that is just amazing for me. I have been smoking for 10 years at about a pack a day. I have not had a cigarette in 3 days and this is honestly the longest I have gone without one in I can't even remember how long, I really hope I can keep this up! I am looking forward to learning everything I can from this site!!

Welcome to vaping and ECF, Linz! How awesome that your mom got you started with vaping. It was the other way around with myself and my father. He was a pack (plus) a day smoker for almost forty years when I bought my first ecig kit. He vowed whenever he could afford to buy a starter kit (he's currently unemployed, doing odd jobs) he would quit smoking cold turkey. My husband and I got him a Joye 510 starter kit for Christmas and he hasn't smoked since! Now he wants a Silver Bullet like mine LOL. That may be a nice Father's Day present from all of us kids.

A good friend introduced me to vaping. I would have never tried them without him. I had seen them advertised on tv and heard about them on the radio, but there is so much false advertising anymore that I won't try something new unless I hear it from someone I know.

Indeed, welcome, Linz. Your story isn't unlike alot of stories you'll hear here. Hell... lots of us started vaping with no intention of quitting the analogs... just a happy accident, I suppose.

You were also right on with the members of ECF being insanely supportive. I remember YEARS ago looking at a website with suggestions on how to quit smoking, and it made mention of having a good support group; parents, siblings, friends that would help you. I honestly believe that the reason you see so many ECF users having success is BECAUSE of ECF. It really is a fantastic support group, and -- although I've never had to use it -- all it takes is one visit to the PIF thread (Pay If Forward... supply for users in dire need) to see the caliber of people we have here.

Congrats Linz! I'm a newby with the forum too! I've been analog free for almost 3 month. A good friend of mine (who's somewhere on this forum) got me started with a Riva 901 and its changed my life! Now I've got 2 other friends hooked. Keep on Vapin!
