Vaping Noob Saying Hi

I've been smoking for 15 years and just got my 510 last week. In that week I've smoked one regular cig. That alone seems to be an accomplishment after going from a pack and a half a day habit.
So, since I started vaping, I've been experimenting with some of the mods for the carts. First I tried to find the blue foam, and instead got something different which was more like the normal filler, so I tried that for a few days, but kept having problems with the liquid not flowing through the material. I would burn off the liquid in the top of the material, and stop getting vapor, so I'd check it out and still find the material somewhat saturated with liquid. I felt like I was wasting fluid, and today I went out and bought some PTB. I just filled up a cart, after putting in the PTB mod and the first couple of hits were great, but then I started getting juice in my mouth and no vapor. I took out the cart, put it in another atty and it works fine, but the initial atty seems flooded so I'm burning it off.
I'm very happy with the e cig, except that the 510 battery's seem to last only about 2 hours of constant vaping, and sometimes that leaves me having to wait while one of the battery's charges (I got two batts, atty's, and 10 carts.) I also got a pass through, and it seems to cook at a higher temp than the normal batts, but that's alright when I'm just puffing and watching something on Hulu.
Anyway, I've never been much of a forum user, but I really am enjoying this, I don't know, lifestyle change, and I wanted to join in talking with other people who are sharing the experience.

i'm not a big fan of those little batteries. with the same volt rating of 3.7v but using a trustfire 14500 battery (about identical in size to an AA) it vapes wonderful. also i vaped 24hrs and didn't even change a battery. your battery is going to be rated (usually) 180mAh (life of the battery) this one is 900mAh. never using a regular battery again. actually i just sold my 510 kit and kept the attys a few hrs ago.

I don't understand all the in's and out's of vaping yet, so I'm not sure what you just told me. I looked up the trustfire 14500 and it looks just like a battery, so would I need to get some special device to attach it to my atomizers?

Just saying hi.
I also wanted to thank everyone on ecf for the fantastic info in just about everything dealing with vaping. I find it hard to post because I will think of a question, come to the forum and BAM someone has not only already asked it but it has been anwered so thoroughly. I have already recommended this site to all my co-workers and family.

yes, there are some that people build those devices though. an example is "chuck" that's the name of the device. found in this thread, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/thag-built-chuck/33735-how-spend-saturday.html
that's just one of many.
one place that sells some good not so big ones would be "totally wicked"
they have th tornado with a larger battery you can get, then the screw driver is another nice option.

if you want a good constant with vaper, flavor, and battery life, the only way to go is with a device that isn't so much shaped like a regular cancer stick.

I have been enjoying my 510, and I'll probably stick with it for a while, until I can afford to upgrade to something like the tornado or the eGo (which I think is the same thing.) I've been ordering supplies from a place called NicotineNirvana, which has free shipping, for everything, which has been nice.
I just got some chocolate flavored liquid in the mail today, and I have to say I really like it. As a smoker I was never into flavored cigs: I didn't like beedies (however they are spelled), menthol, or even cloves. My favorite flavor of cigarette was raw unfiltered harsh death. I eventually switched to rolling tobacco (which had the bonus of allowing me to add other "green" ingredients to the mix of tobacco), and I never thought that I would like to have flavored anything in my lungs. However, after a week of vaping, I found that the flavor wasn't as big of a deal anymore, and I wasn't a big fan of the tobacco flavors that came in the carts or the liquid.
This chocolate flavor is nice, it reminds me of pipe tobacco, but I got the 36mg nicotine strength, and I can definately feel the buzz! My roommate is considering switching to vaping, so I let him have a toke, and he was shocked by the head rush.
