Hello,

Interested in hearing from those who have vaped on aeroplanes, particularly in the UK and the rest of Europe.
Obviously as these are electronic devices they must be switched off during taxi, take-off and landing, and I would not use it on the tarmac, but is there any reason why they could not be used mid-flight?

I do vape openly in airports and on trains without any interference or even funny looks, and my device and bits raise no interest when my hand-luggage is X-rayed. I currently use a non-electronic nicorette inhaler on the plane as a subsitute but would like to use my eGo-T if it is safe to do so.

Many thanks.

Xx

Yeah, I'd definitely stealth vape & probably with the help of a hot, steamy drink.

Let me know how it goes Jaymzifer.

At first I'll be traveling with a companion so it will be easier to try out without drawing attention, though I have managed to vomit violently during take off and landing without being noticed by any of the passengers sitting nearby, so am reasonably confident nobody would notice. It's mainly the safety aspect that concerns me.

I would NEVER Vape in a place that is A: Liable to get me arrested. B:Smoking is NOT PERMITTED, in which case I always ask first.

Being on a plane and attempting to circumvent the rules can get you in a TREMENDOUS amount of legal trouble.

If I were on a plane and noticed smoke like tendrils wisping up, I would FREAK OUT!

We vapers need to be very cautious about when and where we Vape out. WE are trying to inform people of how valuable these devices are. I would absolutely hate the idea that the Gov. would come in and remove these alternatives simply because somebody had a battery vent (boom) mid-flight.

Remember, WE are the ones who are going to make the change, not the other way around.

Peace and Puffs

Most if not all airlines don't allow the use of ecigarettes. They say so right after the 'smoking is not pemitted on this flight' speach. Also states so in the airline pamphlet. I do however stealth vape on every single flight. I have been seen twice by the stewarts, but i just smile and quickly put away and pretend to go to sleep. No problem. However openly and boldly vaping and blowing giant smoke rings will cause problems lol.

Actually, there is a DOT regulation banning it on US flights. That said, if you're halfway discrete, you probably won't have a problem. Hold the vaper in for a little bit and it won't be visible. I've done it several flights. I even did it once with a deadheading pilot from the airline sitting next to me.

I've never had a problem vaping openly in an airport.
