I am curious on what people's opinions are on this one, and how idiotic the statement made to me or order should I say seemed . I took my kids to the pool, and a life guard came up to me and said you are not allowed to smoke here. I said I am not smoking, this is a vapor it is not smoke. She said regardless you can't smoke here. WOW REALLY? People are so ignorant. I am not only outside, but again I am so irritated at this comment because people are trying to ban smokING electronic cigarettes outside? There is no 2nd hand smoke it is a vapor

While there may or may not be local regulations for vaping as opposed to smoking, most people don't know the differences or don't care. Generally speaking vaping is only allowed (or tolerated) where smoking is allowed. If it means that much to you by all means look up your local regulations and make your argument to the authorities. I personally don't care to rock that boat.

Being told you couldn't vape at the pool is not surprising to me. It seems it doesn't matter you're not smoking- whatever it is, they don't want you doing it there.
Usually the poor souls enforcing the rules aren't the ones who came up with them in the first place.

I just hold my vape in until I just blow out a little teeny poof. I vape everywhere.

Stealth vaping protects the misguided from the consequences of their own actions ...

Criticizing strangers in public is even more dangerous than tobacco use ...

If it's on their property, it's their rules... indoors or outdoors.

I do not restrict myself to vaping only where smoking is allowed, however, if the owner/manager/employee of a business asks me not to vape there, I honor those wishes. For the most part... I might stealth vape occasionally... but you couldn't prove it.

The only place I will vape where I am not supposed to are rental cars and hotel rooms.
Exact same here. I never need a vape bad enough to vape in a Walmart, public pool, etc. Hotels and rental cars? My favorite places to vape.

Also, the vaping community has done a terrible job of educating the masses to the health benefits of vaping IMO, so most people have no real idea about the differences between vaping and smoking. Until they do, get used to be grouped with smokers.

Me too, and I have never been questioned about it, not even once ... :)

I am a big proponent of efficiency ...

When I drive my rental car into my hotel room, I can do both ... :D
