Vaping over the age of 55.

I started vaping December 2, 2017 only 5 days before my 60 th birthday. Most people I see vaping appear to be somewhere in age between 25 and 40. I'm about the oldest person I see vaping out on the street. I see older people sucking on ecigs like one purchases at convenience stores. But I actually vape. I own several smok v8 sticks and and Innokin MVP4 box mod. I have totally embraced the hobby. I have 20+ flavors of juice, nic levels 0 and 3. I'm saving money so I can get a more sofisticated mod with replaceable batteries. woo hoo This is my question--tell us about your self or your "old" friends who are vapers. BTW please tell the FDA and all those European agencies that I love sweet, candy and dessert flavors. Thank you.

Hi, im 57, have been vaping for nearly 4 yrs now after being a smoker on 40 a day for 40yrs...cough cough. Its the best thing ive ever done. I own approx 90 different mods, including mech mods and around 120 different tanks. I have full spares for each tank, make my own coild, mix my own juice and love it lo. Im totally hocked on vaping. Quite a few of my friends now vape, some of them are over 60.

Hahaha i know what you mean. Never had a problem tho even tho a lot of the people in them barely look old enough to have left school lol

I'm 55. Started at 49. You see quite a few oldies on Twitter, even if they don't tweet you'll see them in a meme.
We recently lost a great advocate who I think was in her 70's.

In stores I see young people but in the wild one I know is probably older than me. Other than her I've only seen my neighbor vaping outside of stores.

I'm also stuck with young people with IBD. Got diagnosed by quitting smoking. When I was young with an incomplete diagnosis all I heard was that's an old person's disease. Now all I hear is it's a young person's disease. Yeah, well hopefully we live to be old.
I think part of it is you/people notice the opposite more. I've heard the same but opposite complaint from young IBD'ers.

I quit smoking and started vaping when I was 60. I started smoking when I was 14. That's over now though, as I haven't smoked since October 2009. I still vape though and I have no intentions of quitting vaping. Smoking, however, is gone from my life for good !!!

I started vaping at 59, 4 years ago and haven't smoked since. Best decision I ever made. I feel much better and have more energy. My skin looks better too.

I smoked most of my life. Quit a few times only to start again. This time I'm positive it's for good.

Yeah, the people trying to kill vaping say it's to protect the children but they have ulterior motives. Big Pharma (Chantix, Nicoderm, cancer drugs etc.) owns many of the politicians and the states don't want to lose their tobacco taxes.

I'm another old ex-smoker-now-vaper. Welcome to ECF @pintac and it's good to meet another smoker that found that the "gateway" leads a lot more of us away from smoking than the other way around.

Hello Pintac. Many of us here are 55+. I think I was 51 when I started vaping but didn't give up the smokes until I stumbled across dl sub ohm vaping. Now I mix and build coils. If you had told me 4 years ago that I would have nothing but rebuildables in my daily rotation I would have laughed and told you no way that's ever going to happen.

I have helped around 10 people over 55 switch from smoking to vaping. I tried helping more than that but some just couldn't make the switch.

Same here. They had raised the sin tax another dollar and just started vaping to cut back on smokes. MTL just frustrated me and was about to give up on vaping when I came across a review on the Kanger Subtank Mini. Was down to a few cigs a day within a week. Last 2 months before I quit smoking I usually only had the feet hit the floor morning cig.
