This is such an individual thing that it's too hard to place a call on what's considered to be "too much vaping" by person x, y or z. For one thing, you probably don't know what their smoking habit was before they started vaping. I'm not about to even consider passing judgment on what it takes to keep a former 3 PAD unfiltered Camel smoker from relapsing. But I'm pretty sure that their Doctor would be happier with whatever it takes from vaping versus 3 PAD of anything.

a feature that keeps track of nic intake on a mod would be great

That's what I would call a technological non sequitir. Unless they figure out some way for it to jab you in the arm and test your blood levels there isn't much a pv will ever keep track of regarding nicotine intake.

I'm very new to vaping too and yes I had the same feeling that there are some really "hardcore" vapers out here. It's a good thing though that the information in this forum helped me make decisions in my own part. I smoke 7 cigs a day so if 1 cig is roughly 2 drops, then I strictly drop 14 times only (at 6mg). It's a good start right

Welcome JR. Just as among smokers, you have those who smoke very little, and the you have me - puff the magic dragon, so it is true among vapers too. I can't say who is or isn't "overdoing" it. I vape 36mg, more frequently on some days, less on others. Some might consider 36mg extreme - but it works for me and keeps me away from analogs. My body tells me that I'm not overdoing anything, because it feels better than it did when I smoked. Just find what works for you, and don't worry about what any other vaper thinks about. We have enough of a fight on our hands already with the FDA, ALA, AMA, Big Pharma, and non-smokers who act like Nazi's over nicotine.

I vape more than I smoked, but I just love the flavors. I smoked in addition to vaping for about a month, and the greatest feeling was when I sat down and reached for an analog and realized I'd rather have the pv. That was the last I smoked! I did cut from 24 to 18 and now 12mg, and plan to make another cut soon. But I suspect I'll always vape something, and chain vape sessions throughout the day. With analogs most of them were needs, not wants - with the juices, it's always pleasurable.

Yeah it's funny. sometimes I hardly touch it and other times (like when I'm just sitting here reading) I never take it out of my face.

My highest comfortable level is about 17-18mgml
24 is just too harsh for me personally and 12 doesnt have a throat hit.
when I over do it i get a little nautious so I just put it down for a while.
You will know when youv'e had too much.

One thing to remember with vaping. The nicotine absorption rate is significantly lower than with analogs. So while you may be vaping more in term of number of "drags" on your PV versus an analog, it is likely you are actually absorbing less nicotine.

Pretty much what he ^^ said. Vaping is no where near as fufilling as analog smoking in terms of nicotine, hence why people vape more.

I don't. I vape pretty much the way I smoked. Actually I think I vape less than I smoked because with cigs I smoked the whole thing. In the beginning I probably did and when I vape lower nic juice I do.

It's just personal preference really. If you like to vape and want to vape a lot, lower the nic a bit. There is no real right way or wrong way.

I started with a generic 1st gen 510 (it had the "cartridge" that has that tiny cup of liquid with the foil cover) that I bought at a local head shop. I couldn't get more than a few puffs before it stopped working but immediately knew that I liked it. Moved up to a BluCig kit that I bought at Walgreens which was really my gateway e-cig. Confirmed that e-cigs would work for me but hoped there was something better. Spent hours on here and YouTube and then moved up to a great cheap bare bones eGO-T kit from unsmoke.us. Now using the eGO-C upgrade parts and seriously looking at buying a LavaTube.

I tend to go through about 3-4 ml a day, but I intentionally vape 16mg (which is lower that what I was probably getting with analogs) since I just love the experience so much I tend to chain vape when I'm at home. Going on 6 weeks since my last analog and I can't imagine going back.

Do you count vaping from 2 PV's at one time as one puff?

If you do not believe that you are absorbing less nicotine with vaping - go outside and chain smoke 2 analogs (if you can get through that many) and then tell me you did not get hit hard with the nic.

I had to see if I missed them a while back and bummed one off a friend and 3 drags hit me - much less a whole analog. Vile tasting to boot - confirmed to me I am not going back...
