I've been
vaping unflavored on and off for about a year now. I vape it when I find myself getting unsatisfied with my flavored juices (I diy).. I use it when I get that "I can't taste my
juice" syndrome. I vape it when I find myself added more and more flavor to my mixes. It kinda acts as a palette cleanser so to speak. After
vaping if for a couple days, I can go back to adding just a few drops to my mixes. To me, it has a clean, refreshing taste. It's not tasteless, it's kinda sweet on it's own and it makes me able to taste (and appreciate) my juices when I go back to them. It's not something I'd want to vape all the time but I'd hate to be without it. I remember once I ran out of nic and all I had was some very sweet store bought juice.. I couldn't wait to get my order in and mix up some unflavored! It was such a relief from the sweet juice.
I use 70% PG 30% VG I bought my last batch from wizardlabs. I like using very very little flavoring, like 5% or less. It's very easy and cheap to make.. I just bought some new flavors today (
6 bottles for $15 shipped.. should last me a year) and they're the first I've bought in.. I can't remember the last time I bought flavoring.
For someone who diy's, it can't hurt (or cost) to try it. And if you don't diy, I'm sure there are places that sell it. (But why would you want to buy it when you can order the ingredients and make it yourself for a fraction of the cost!)
There are online calculators that make it super easy to mix your own.. once you get the basics of mixing unflavored.. it's only a simple thing to add a bit of flavor. Just a bit of flavor won't dilute the juice enough to make any difference (I mix my juice at 12mg/ml and it's alright if after I add flavoring it goes down to say.. 11mg.)
Here is the online calculator I use.
Here is a great place to get stand-alone flavors.
