Yes its ok to use. You won't need it if you use the variable wattage mode though. For variable wattage set your Zmax to the power mode in menu 7 - that's variable wattage. And set it to ANS (stands for RMS) in menu 8. If you use the variable voltage option then the power chart is a good guide - it is a guide.

It can get over-complicated with charts etc - bu with variable wattage the Zmax will read the resistance of your coils and set the voltage automatically for you. So just set your Zmax at around 5.5 watts - then click up to where it tastes good. That's all you have to do - that's the beauty of having a variable wattage device. It doesn't have to be complicated and you don't have to worry about ohms and volts and keep checking a chart to be able to find your sweet spot.

The guy who created one of those charts wrote an article explaining ohms, voltage, watts, and how they relate to finding your sweet spot. I found it to be an educational read. Again, the chart is used as a good guideline, not set in stone:

Yeah I've seen that before - it was back when most vapers only used variable voltage. The Zmax power mode takes care of having to figure all that out. If you use one you'll see what I mean.
