Zmax mini help

I recently bought a sigelei zmax mini. Now I'm no pro here. I've been using various ego's with great success, but wanted something "better". I've checked out this chart http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m9dkanCt0I1qc8949o2_1280.png

I've tried using my zmax in power mode, and it seems to work best, but virtually only with protanks. evods just taste burnt.
In voltage mode by my interpretation of that chart using 2.2 ohm in my protank set at 3.7 v just seems kinda of weak? any higher tastes burnt even in the protank.
I've tried to stick in power mode, as I read that I can then put on any protank/evod/crap clearo and it'll do the adjustments for me. So at 6 watts in power mode, its still kinda of weak. I'm not really sure how to explain it.

I keep fiddling with it, but ideally I just would like to leave it at one place and vape on... is there any like... decent starter point? haha

After talking with some people I've realized this is pretty much a trial and error kind of game. My mini seems to like protanks best, so I'm sticking with using only them on it. For now with the juices I have on hand it seems that 5.5-6 W works best, leaving my mini in power mode.
