Hello all! I currently vape on an eleaf 50 watt istick with an arctic .5 ohm coil and arctic atomizer. Usually vape around 30 watts, if I continuously vape higher than that it will burn my coil up. I want to vape a higher wattage without it burning my coils up. I also don't want to go to a dripper, just sub ohm. Can someone show me what box mod, coil, and atomizer to get? I want more vape

So should I just stick to the coils I have now and get a higher wattage box?
I did not read the article so I have no idea which coil you are using and how your coil performed compared to the review.

I have a Kanger Subtank Mini that performs well at 40 watts using a horizontal 0.5Ω coil. Vapor production is very subjective. No way for me to know how that compares to your arctic tank and their coils without me researching and comparing.

Buying a higher wattage box mod would open some more doors regarding some subΩ clearomizers (i.e. the Crown Tank). Only you can decide if it's worth it.

Using a higher VG juice would also give you more vapor.

I'm using the .5 arctic coil stated in my first post. Is the Crown tank good? What box mod should I get with it if I were to purchase it?

Greg I left the premade coils behind and went RTA.

The reason I did that was because of the poor Quality Control (QC). I was rocking the Kanger Subtank Nano at the time. Some coils hadv the cotton jammed in there I got dry hits at 17 watts. Others was too loose and leaked.

Never used the arctic so my opinion may be off but to me it sounds as if the cotton is too tight in the coil.

Is it really worth getting temperature control? What benefits come with that?

It all depends on the mod.

I have the Istick 40 TC but it only does TC on Nickel wire and only does Temperature control at the full 40 watts. I am allergic to Nickel so it does not help me at all.

Some mods will do Temp control on Nickel, Titanium wire and even fewer will do TC on Stainless steel wire.

In that case TC IS REALLY WORTH IT ESPECIALLY if you use pre made coils.

TC senses the wick getting dry and prevents burning the wicks.

The Asolo mod is trying to do what they call taste control with Kanthal to prevent from burning the wicks. PBussardo reviewed the Asolo and their taste control kinda works. So I hope others will be able to make chips sensitive enough to detect a drying wick with A Kanthal coil.

TC it is. I'll go with a purchase of the 150watt sigelei. Anyone know a good website to purchase these products? I found one but nothing has reviews on it which makes it look scetchy.

I personally feel that if you look at vaping from the "what is going on in there" standpoint, you can answer most of the questions you have. For starters, you can only apply a certain amount of wattage before you start burning something. Wattage is basically a measure, for our purposes, of how much heat is going to be created at the coil. Picture a pot of boiling water on a stove. If you apply more heat, it will boil faster, but the volume of steam created will depend entirely on the amount of water that is available to boil. If you want more vapor, you should find a way to provide more liquid to be vaporized by the coil. A larger diameter coil, will hold more wick, and thus make more liquid available to vaporize. Multiple coils should also provide more vapor, as it is like having 2 pots of water on separate burners. This is just my opinion, from my observations of 4 years of vaping, I am not trying to start an argument with anyone.

Glad to be of help. I'm sure others can direct you to a good site. I get my gear at local shops and Amazon.
