I have to press the button down for 5 seconds or more to get a decent amount of vapor/throat hit comparable to cigarettes. I remember when I smoked, each puff was very short, around 2 second or so.

I'm not complaining as this is not a big deal, but I wonder if this is normal or am I doing something wrong?

I use Ego C Twist and vivi nova.

Yupp it's normal :)
Unless you go into the subohm world of mechs, which is not adviced for a newbie. (which i wouldn't do anyway, but that's becuase im the anxious kind of a type while dealing with these kind of stuff) Safety first! :)

6-7s is what i normaly draw sometimes more. Vision spinner with mini pt2 1.8ohm coils around 3.9-4.0v.

It's about relearning how to puff. With a cigarette you could puff as long or as short as you wanted, with as much or as little pressure as you wanted. With ecigs the atomizer and battery can only do so much and if you try to puff hard for extra vapor you are likely to end up with a mouth full of juice.

you have the let the atomizer and battery work so it will feel a lot longer in your mouth, but when you break down the puffs per day, you will likely find you are puffing less even though it feels like you are vaping more.

Pretty normal, its how your device and topper compliment each other. Do you know what resistance coil you are currently using in the Vivi Nova? and is it Dual coil? Single coil?

If you aren't using one yet, I recommend trying a single coil head under 2ohm resistance. You should notice an improvement in puffing time and vapor production with your ego battery.
