I quit cigarettes long ago, but now I am hooked on vaping. Probably taking in more nic than I used to. Has anyone found a way to ease out of this new trap?

A little trick. Two same attys. One let's say with a juice at 18mg and the other at 12 with the same juice. Vaping from the Atty with the 12 and when you feel that you miss something 5-6 vapes from the 18. In about 2-3 weeks probably you will stack at the 12. When you get used with the 12 you can try the same trick with lower nick.

The numbers is an example. If you vape at 24 try with 24 and 18.

Keep in mind also that the nicotine from e cig getting in lungs in lower amount than the nicotine from analogs.

Send from my eVic..

I try not to vape while sitting on the couch. That's when I'm most likely to chain vape. You could set a puff limit, and get a PV that has a puff counter. I had no idea how much I was vaping until I got an itaste MVP, and the puff counted rolled over in one day. Yikes. Lol
Over a couple of months, I have cut down from 18 mg nicotine to 6-12 mg (depending on juice), so even though I vape the same amount, I'm getting less nic.

I worried about vaping too much. Not for the nic, but just in general. Most of my juice is 0mg, but my RY4s have some nic in them. Since I would light up every few hours in the evening I would have to go outside. My landlord is ok with me vaping in my apartment so I pretty much vape from when I get home to when I go to bed. I don't vape in my car or at work, but I generally chain vape all evening. It's a concerted effort to put it down, especially when I watch TV.

Do you know for a fact that you're taking in more nicotine from vaping than you did from smoking? If so, how did you do the determination? How is your health since you started vaping? Any ill effects?

Why do you consider vaping a "new trap"? Are you setting unrealistic rules for yourself? Have you perhaps (maybe unconsciously) bought into the ANTZ anti-nicotine rhetoric?

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

For starters, you already know that not smoking has tremendous health advantages so even chain vaping is a huge step forward.

The nicotine in the vapor is much harder for your body to absorb because the size of the molecule is 10x the size of that in smoke.

Nicotine by itself is not a terribly dangerous substance. At the quantities that you are exposing yourself to, it's pretty hard to actually cause significant problems. Is it possible to OD on it? Of course, but the dose always makes the poison and by the time you're getting close to the threshold, you know it's time to stop.

You have a nicotine habit. Before, you satisfied that habit by engaging in a very dangerous activity that involved incomplete combustion of an organic material. Now, you're satisfy it with a much safer substance and process. Don't buy into the idea that you've traded one addiction for another. You've just found a way of satisfying the Jonesin' that's about as dangerous and damaging as having a cup of coffee, drinking a can of soda or having dessert.
