For a few years I have suffered with rheumatoid arthritis and associated joint pains. Ususal medical treatments have provided good releif. Where I run into trouble is with phychiatric side effects of prednisone.

There's lots of information about regarding Turmeric/Curcumin +/-black pepper. Oral ingestion is quite inefficient.

Has someone found an effective way to add Tumeric/Curcumin in their e liquid? I'm handy with DIY and use max vg.

Well, all that I can say is this forum is quite strict about discussion of e-cigarettes, and any discussion of vaping with anything other than standard e-liquid (no additives) is strictly prohibited. This is a topic that will likely be moved by the moderators to "Not Advised". Good luck.

I don't understand. Do you want to infuse the flavors as a treatment for your arthritis?
The paste I know does wonders for the inflammation, but the I don't think the infused flavors will do anything.

This is non topical to the treatment path you are talking about and vaping in general, but on the subject of out-of-standard-medical-practice stuff I have a friend with severe long term RA who claims great results from cryotherapy.

They apparently do blood tests on her to check a standard inflammation marker who’s standard level of normal maxes at 8. She worked with doctors for years and they couldn’t get it under eleven. With regular cryotherapy over the course of a year or so that number has dropped to 8.5.

No idea if that’s useful or not. It’s all I happen to have on the subject though.

I can't see it working as a treatment. Rheumatoid arthritis is a desease that's fueled by our lifestyle. Its completely manageable by the right nutrition.
What we eat determines how our body reacts.
Bodies are different, but in general eating foods that creates inflammation will affect any body...just in different ways and degrees.

Yeah that'll work. Cold fights inflammation.
Cryotherapy is a bit odd. It’s like super ice packs. Basically they spray youwith super chilled air. It acts just like an ice pack but works faster and the effects seem to last longer. Most critically it’s not as painful. Ice water bath therapy is brutally uncomfortable but the cryotherapy stuff isn’t nearly as bad. They can do more of your body, cool it faster, and it doesn’t hurt.
It’s not super cheap though. I had one spot treatment for my back and it cost $15. A tank treatment was like $40

Yeah I like the sound of that. Though it brings relief, it'll only be temporary if the cause of the illness isn't being addressed.
Once again we are what we eat. Food is the cause, and also the cure.
I saw it lately with my wife, daughters and me. We changed our diets drastically and the wife healed her arthritis and daughter was brought back from a mental illness that put her in the loony place 3 times.
If I did not happen around me, I would never have believed it.
Its all about getting your system to the right balance of minerals, vitamins etc...basic stuff. The most important is the nutrition. Our bodies can only function optimally with the right fuel.

Hello. I have heard of those things as helpful in regards of natural therapies with the conditions you mention. But could you show us where ingesting those substances is regarded as inefficient, some study perhaps, and the inhalation is the better option?
I think the suggestion of such, even the notion is extremely unwise. Im sorry you have problems that seem to have driven you to seek advice on this extreme idea but strongly advice you against it.

The first rule of groups is there is "them" and there is "us." The same is true of gangsters. We must swarm around anything that threatens the status quo of the group.

Flavorings are additives that we may know little of the constituency of.

So far it appears that no one replying has experimented with turmeric/curcumin in vaping though some Lieutenants have posted, thumping rule books or imploring, "Warning! Warning!."

Yes, I 'could' demonstrate where inhalation is more efficient compared to ingestion at getting some substances into the body...Nicotine..? To delve into such areas would likely draw quick ire from the rules and regs folks. Turmeric/curcumin have a very low bio-availability per quantity when ingested. I'll add no footnotes. Check it for yourself.

+/-"95%" on this forum have neither true scientific nor physiological qualifications. Many are very well skilled at repeating the party line that was developed by endless repetition.
