Vaping veteran having trouble with ecf posting

As I am reading on how to get my newbe status upgraded on ECF, every link keeps linking in circles to the same instructions. So Now here is my first post. Hello everyone. I have been vaping for 2 years which is 2 years since from September 10th 2012 since I have had an analog. I have done without ECF and am here only because of recommendations of others. Now that ECF has made it tough for newbies, it's very discouraging. I feel sorry for smokers who don't have any internet forum knowledge.

Hi and welcome

"Now that ECF has made it tough for newbies..." I'm not sure what you mean. I also learned to vape without ECF, but when I joined 2 years ago I had to make 5 posts like everyone else.

ETA: If you're referring to content, I have to agree with you. The New Members forum used to be filled with people looking for information about how to start vaping in general, now it seems full of people asking more advanced questions. I get concerned about people being scared off, but there isn't much that can be done. The "Simple Solutions" section was started, but it isn't getting much traffic.

Yeah, I'm not sure why people get up in arms about posting 5 times. All you really need to do is find threads were you can throw some info in that you know, and welcoming new people to the board. I had my 5 posts in like 2 minutes. Besides needing to wait for the boards to upgrade my status. I believe they use this method to try to rid of spammers. I could be wrong, even spammers can just hit 5 posts within 2 minutes. heh ;)

Welcome to the forum! Yeah the 5 post rule is supposed to weed out the spammers. I guess it discourages them from joining because they have to do the 5 posts first. But now that you have 6 posts and they upgrade your account it should be a lot better and easier. Forums are kinda hard to navigate at first but I'm sure you'll get it. Hey if you can quit smoking you can learn to use a forum! By the way congrats on not smoking for 2 years, that's awesome!

Vape on, bro!

Yeah, it's simple, and looks like your up to six, can post most anywhere and soon can have a banner:D or something like that. And believe it or not, the rules protect the vaper and help keep things civil, mostly.

Oh, veteran status here simply means being a member for 1 year, and not a true indicator of vape level or status.
