I'm a strong promoter of harm reduction. If you're not dependent on Nicotine then I wouldn't suggest it. If you're going to try one regardless of what we say out of curiosity and it comes down to you trying your first smoke or 0% nicotine vape then by all means go for the vape. Nothing by any means could be considered 100% safe.

i have server asthma, when i quit smoking and started vaping i felt SOOOO MUCH BETTER! only problem was, my asthma attacks got worse.. it was bizarre, but i couldnt vape much due to severe asthma attacks. i told my DR and he prescribed me DULERA, and i havent looked back since.. 1 puff twice a day, and havent needed my rescue inhaler or machine at all! 4 months later still just as effective!

Hello, i'm new.. Wanna say hello to all, and I wanna start Vaping just because of flavor, I don't smoke, and never tried a ciggerate I'm 20' but I wanna start Vaping because of flavor, do u think its safe? To try the ones without nicotine and stuff..

Typically I would say vape on! Whatever your reasons. BUT, because you have asthma?? I can say that vaping does not bother mine but I was a smoker..
It could potentially be OK or NOT. IF you feel like that you must try it.. then go ahead. Let us know how it goes for you :)

I've had asthma all my life, and have never felt as good as I do since vaping. I used to use my inhaler on a daily basis, definitely more than I should have been and I couldn't go to sleep without using my nebulizer. But now, analog free I don't need to carry around my inhaler every where I go, my lungs don't feel tight all the time, and I haven't 'wheezed' as much as used to. My lungs are thankful and I can feel it.

Assuming this post is legit:
If you are smoker who has tried to quit repeatedly and failed over and over again, vaping is very smart. If you don't smoke, vaping is stupid. If you have a chronic resperatory problem like asthma and want to spend money to inhale artificial flavors in chemical vapors, that is beyond stupid.

In my opinion, those who don't smoke or are not former smokers have no reason to start vaping. At all. Just stay away from this stuff. Nicotine or not, your lungs are designed to inhale clean air. It's obviously none of my business what people do. People of age can choose to vape if they please, but I would spend my money on other things. There's no reason to get caught up in inhaling anything.

I'm going to go against the grain and say it probably wouldn't bother you at all if you don't inhale. And if you never smoked, then there's no reason to learn to inhale. I actually don't a lot of the time, since I also smoke a pipe where you almost never inhale.

Generally, having asthma myself, it could well be a wash though even if you do inhale. Most people don't actually exercise their diaphragm and other breathing muscles, which vaping can do. But in general, there are probably a whole bunch of things you could do that would be worse. Living in a major urban area, for one. Living in a rural area with lots of pollen. Having a fire in a fireplace. Heating your home with an old oil fired furnace. Living in a place with high humidity and lots of mold. Living in a desert with all the dust. Living in a temperate zone with all the growing things.

Myself, I see young people who are starting vaping because they enjoy it, not for the drug, and it certainly doesn't seem to be any more horrible than than oh, say, chewing gum or sucking on hard candy. I don't stand with the, "You shouldn't do anything that might hurt you." because it is just ridiculous. No caffeine, no sugar, no fat, no salt, no meat, no ... oh, whatever.

If you don't do nic, there's no addiction, so if it doesn't suit you, no real harm done. If you like it, then yes, it's not 'ideal', but then there's not really anything we eat or drink or breathe that's 'ideal'. Even cavemen thousands of years ago had issues with smoke from their fires. You pay your money, you takes your chances.

Just a thought, but it would seem to me that there is probably some herbalist who has developed a juice that would possibly be beneficial for people with asthma. I have no idea where you might find that person, but I bet there is someone out there/here who knows. I have several friends who smoked for years, have asthma, and they have gone to vaping and their asthma issues are no longer part of their lives. I am not sure what they are vaping, but at lest one of them is doing a menthol vapor.
