A friend of mine has asthma, and loves vapeing. She's been having a lot of trouble lately. What she says has worked for her is keeping her coils clean. She builds news ones every week. Changes her cotton regularly. Also, I use to make juice for her, but she switched to buying her supplies from Nude nicotine. She seems to do better with them.

Can't speak to any of this through first hand experience, but this is what she tells me helps her.

Do a search for asthma, I posted several times about my own struggled to vape. I found that dual using is murder on asthma, but after going without any cigarettes for a few days, the asthma seemed to improve. I was then able to vape without coughing up a lung. Also, I have to avoid too warm of a vapor, that'll set me off, and keep my coils relatively clean.

Having suffered from said illness, smoking for entirely too many years, and vaping for a couple,
my experience is that my bronchials don't get clogged up as much or at all since I switched to vaping
and in fact get less clogged than when I don't vape.
It seems that vaping, especially VG based juice, softens up the mucous
making it easy to expel with a couple of coughs whereas smoking ciggies irritates the lungs
which in turn make more (hard to cough) snot.

I rarely use my inhaler since I switched to vapor
where it was a daily/nightly thing before.
I suggest that your friend try different VG/PG configurations,
stay away from custards and butter flavors, and keep her coils clean (always prefire b4 using a new coil)
Caramel and flavors with much sweetener can irritate the lungs.
Tell your bud to try to not inhale.

It's a hit or miss in my experience. I have asthma and I can vape just fine. It's the same with a lot of people I know. But my girlfriend can't even be around it without getting asthma. It's worth a try I would assume. She'll figure it out pretty quickly. Have a glass of water and inhaler handy though or something in case she's someone who just can't do it.

I'd suggest that you don't push the vaping on her, if she wants to vape then be sure
you have an albuterol inhaler with you just in case.
She might be allergic to VG or PG or both so that's something to consider.
As an asthmatic you know that it can kill you, so be careful.
But like you, vaping doesn't bother my asthma at all.
On the contrary, it helps me expectorate and keeps my lungs clear.

Thankies to everyone who's replied. I know I could've done a search, and still will, but given the circumstances I wanted the "freshest" answers possible. Things are constantly changing and I know I often find something that was working, suddenly not.

Again, thanks.

I have Asthma and COPD and I can vape. I personally make my own juice. I can't use heavy VG so I make mine either 60 pg/40 vg or do a 50/50 blend. I change my cotton out every 2 days. I haven't had a asthma attack in awhile. My breathing is better than it was but I still use a inhaler and spiriva once a day. But what I will say is I have only had asthmatic bronchitis once in almost 3 years since I quit smoking i almost 3 years ago . My doctors can't believe it. So everyone reacts different to vaping..
