I haven't seen this question answered in any of the posts I looked into, and I went pretty far back.

Anyway, when you are looking into juices, I know that you can choose the nic level by mg.

I looked at this http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ng-you-ever-wanted-know-about-your-510-a.html which tells me the common levels of nic and how to choose the level when ordering juice.

Common Nicotine Levels:
NONE (Zero)

Extra Low: 6-8MG
Low: 10-12mg
Medium: 16-18mg
High: 24-26mg
Extra High: 36mg
For Mixing/Diluting Only: 48mg, 60mg

e-liquid Nicotine Strength Recommendations:
Occasional Smoker: Zero to Low

Up to 1 pack/day: Low to Medium
Up to 2 packs/day: Medium to High
Over 2 packs/day: High to Extra High

so my question is, if I smoked under a pack a day, like 4 cigarettes a day, would my best interest be to look into extra low - low nic levels?

second question is- is the act of vaping generally supposed to happen once a day? multiple inhales or just one inhale? I ask because my starting kit came with a 24mg strength juice (wow!!!) which satisfies me enough to where i only "vape" once a day, and it is only one puff... maybe because of how much nic is in it.

thanks for any advice you can give (again) :)

It's up to you really. I smoked about 1/2 pack/ day (12-14). I ordered low (12mg) and found it to be too much. I've cut it down to roughly 6 (I don't measure, just eyeball it). So that guideline you posted was just that. A guideline. In the end, it's what you feel. I mean, it gave me a starting point. Thankfully I didn't order 24 or 18mg. Would've been wasted on me.

As for frequency, once again, it depends on you. If that 24mg and one puff is keeping you satisfied, and you're happy, leave it at that. It's been said countless times, everybody's different.

In my case, this thing has pretty much substituted an analog. So I'm vaping about the same. Except of course at night when I'm at home. Then I'm a vaping fiend. ONly because I can (I think).

Yup do what feels right to you. I smoked 1/2 a pack/day. I started vaping at 18mg which was too much. Then went to 11-12mg. That was working ok but I felt like it was still too much. I'm at 6mg now and I like it a lot. You will probably vape more often the lower the nic. If you don't see an increase in your vaping at 24mg and you're happy just do that. It will keep your cost very low only hitting once a day! Just keep an eye on how you feel. You don't want to add to you're addiction with the high nic. But everything in vaping comes down to you. Good luck.

Wow, sounds like it's too high . Really it's up to you whether you want to do it once per day or cut it down to a more reasonable level and vape multiple times per day. I would suggest cutting it down a little anyway.

I started at 24 to 56mgs because I smoked 2 packs a day, but I find I enjoy vaping for the flavor and the vapor production more than the nic content, so find your sweet spot..a light smoker doesent need real high nic.

ya! fo the flava and vapa! I have a few 36 and 24 but I use 11-16 since i vape a lot, but sometimes still there is a point where i notice i'm not pickin up the pv as much....yer just done (nic overload lol)

No real magic formula, sorry. I know HEAVY smokers that needed 6mg because 12 was too much for them, and light smokers that are in the 24+ range. I generally tell people start with 24mg of a flavor they think they'll like and get 0mg of the same flavor. If the 24 is too high, do a little math and cut it down, repeat until you find the right level.
