I ordered 2 new B4L Auto batteries and they arrived today. :) As soon as they arrived I immediately put them on the chargers.

That leads to my question: Have they changed the batteries lately? For some reason I am having a terrible time getting these batteries to let me Vape. They seem to have a limiter switch that will only allow me a puff or two and then they will not let me draw on them for a minute or two. When they do allow me to take a puff I have to do several quick draws and then only one long draw. Then they shut back off. :(

I took the carto off and did a series of 3 quick blows into the end of the battery. That seemed to reset the battery momentarily and then I was back to fighting to get them to work.

The 4 batteries I have already don't do this strange things. I am not finding fault with the batteries, I'm just trying to figure them out and how to fix them so they work like my older batteries.

Snow,
Thanks! :) It worked for one of the new batteries, but nothing on the second one. :( In fact now the one battery has stopped working completely! :( I'll call V4L on Monday and talk to them about it. Bummer cause it's a pretty Red Metallic that looks really cool! :(

On a side note, tomorrow I will be wiring in a 12 volt Cigarette lighter plug on my boat, right where I sit, so I'll be able to use a PT while I fish! :) :D Now That Is Living! :) :D

:lol::lol: Nothing like getting away from all the technology etc, getting back to basics, eh?

Yup! I'm one of those back to basics kind of guys! :) Electric anchor winch, depth finder with GPS, Electric start 25 HP outboard motor with alternator, and now a 12 volt plug in for my V4L PT. :)

Life is Tough! ;) :) :D

Sorry to hear that you having issues with your batts, are they standard VK's, V1 VK Diamond Series or V2 Titan Series? In any case, Chadley & Co. will get you squared away tomorrow.

Hehehehe......well you better bring a couple of PT's, like any good lure you'll want to be ready if you lose one on the water. That new 25 sounds nice...is it a 4 stroke? I bought a 4 Stroke a couple of years ago and couldn't believe how fuel efficient it is. Your gonna spoil your fishing buddies with that electric anchor winch....I live to tell my buddies..."Get on that anchor b--ch".

It's gonna be interesting to see how the fishing will be with all the high water this year. High water has a way of changing the bottom contours of the river.

Snow,
The batteries are the following ones:
Vapor King Batteries
stuff happens, so I'm not to worried!

The new 25 is definitely a 4 stroke. :) It's a Suzuki 25 with electric start. :) My old Suzuki was a great motor and it was darned good on fuel, so this one should be even better. :)

It looks like we will be dealing with high water all summer and into the fall. :( Last report from the Cascade Pass is there is still 55 feet of Snow Pack up there! But I'm not to worried about the water level and change of the bottom contour, my depth finder and GPS system will take care of finding the "Holes" and recording them for me. :) I've been fishing the same stretch of the Skagit for over 40 years, so I pretty well know it like the back of my hand. :) If I can't catch fish in that stretch, there aren't any fish to catch!

GPR sir that's a different type of switch than the king diamonds and stealths. Would suggest the old banging on the edge of a table (right below where the logo is on the batt) followed by a few hard blows into the ash cap end. That usually fixes the switch 72% of the time, as long as juice isn't the culprit for it being stuck.....

Thanks for the input Morandir! I appreciate the idea, but it didn't help either. :( I tried it before I started typing this message. It looks like I just got a bad battery!

Juice is not the problem because I only used it with Pre-filled Cartos straight from V4L.

Morandir,

I haven't noticed a single leaky pre-filled carto yet, but I'm sure it definitely could happen. V4L is the only company that I will be buying anything from. :) I tried a couple of other companies juices and I was definitely Disappointed! :( Especially on the length of time I had to wait between order time and receipt of product. V4L turns all the competition into Vapor! ;) :)

I have only had to call Customer Service once so far and that was due to an empty package on receipt. Customer Service Jumped right on my problem and Absolutely Rushed replacements to me. That kind of Service Deserves Loyalty!

UPDATE on the Battery:

I dropped the new battery that is acting up tody (fumble fingers drop) :(

The battery does work now, but every time it activates or it shuts off it makes a Loud POP! Is this something I should worry about? (It's not the same type of popping or sizzling that happens as you vape. It is a Single Loud POP!

My vote: YES. Bury the darn thing. In cat litter. DON'T USE IT, OR LEAVE IT UNATTENDED!

Elanor,
V4L CS is sending me a new battery to replace this one. :) I was getting ready to package it up to return it to them. So after I dropped it I thought I would see if I ruined it or fixed it.

It now creates More Vapor than my pass thru! But it does still act up by being hard to start at times. It also gets warmer than my other batteries while I am using it.

Sent you a pm GPR sir, the popping sound doesn't concern me (one of my original auto batts had a stuck switch, a good pop on the edge of a desk fixed it, but it also popped every time it was activates), the heat does. If the batt is compromised bad things can happen....

Thank you Sir! :) I read the PM and did a return PM. I've put it away and will ship it back as soon as I can. I was hoping that they would let me keep it so I could take it apart and see exactly what it looks like in person. (I saw the video that Snowdragon posted, but seeing it in person would be so cool! ;) :) )
