YouTube - Review of Vapor King Electronic Cigarette from Vapor4Life

Here is my rating system:

* * * * * = Excellent
* * * * = Good
* * * = Fair
* * = Poor
* = Very Poor

And the review of the Vapor King product and service:

  • Ship Time: * * * * * - Ordered late Monday night, he shipped it Tuesday March 10th, and they were in my hands on Thurday March 12th. Couldn't ask for it to be any faster.
  • Customer Service: * * * * * - Emailed Steve with about 15 questions at 11:30 EST Monday night, he literally responded back within 10 or 15 minutes answering all my questions, then called me on Skype to answer additional questions I had. Outstanding customer service and enjoyable to talk to.
  • Battery Performance: * * * * * - Nice easy switch with no delay in activation, and no need for a primer puff to get a good amount of vapor going. The switch is also not sensitive to the point where it activates from loud music or a light breeze. Nice long automatic cutoff timer as well. 5 - 7 seconds as opposed to the standard 2 - 3 seconds on other LTv9 style batteries.
  • Ease of Draw: * * * * * - VERY light and easy draw, same on both batteries, I don't even think I'd want it to be any lighter. In my opinion the ease of draw is just perfect on these.
  • Battery Duration: * * * * * - I gave ePuffer batteries a 4 star rating because they lasted for about 4 or so hours on the longer main battery, so I have to give these a 5 for sure. They both last for about 7 or 8 hours each for me, longer than other batteries I've tried of this type, however they do take a long time to charge on the USB charger, but as I said they hold their charge for a long time.
  • Vapor Quantity: * * * * - Not quite as much vapor as the standard LTv9 style e-cigs, however it's only slightly less, and there is still a good amount of vapor. I'm giving this a 4/5 because of the fact of having slightly less vapor than traditional LTv9 clones.
  • Throat Hit: * * * * - Very nice throat hit, definitely not for someone who likes smooth vapor that you don't feel, this feels more like the throat hit from an analog or maybe a little stronger. Definitely enough to make you cough the first few hits until you get used to it. I give it a 4/5 because some liquids and/ or carts may have a little more but so far I haven't tried anything yet that does.
  • Cartridge Life: * * * * * - I have only actually used up 2 of these completely as of yet, however both of them and so far the third one I am on have lasted the advertised 250 - 300 puffs. You don't seem to get that as much from comparable disposable atomizer carts so I have to give these a 5.
  • Flavor: * * * * * - The flavors are outstanding. Very strong, bold and rich flavors that taste exactly as advertised (except of course for the Marlboro flavor, but no one has a good "real" Marlboro flavor). These flavors are really really good.
  • Value vs. Price: * * * * * - At $69 USD for a 2 battery kit with a USB charger and 7 cartridges, plus the outstanding customer service and very fast shipping (and shipping is included in the $69 price tag withing the USA at least, not sure about international), I couldn't be happier so far with the value of this product and the price is more than reasonable, especially when compared to other kits of this type that range anywhere from $99 - $150 USD.

Overall Rating: * * * * * - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. As I already stated, outstanding customer service, very fast shipping, very good prices, excellent flavors, good switch performance, allows up to 7 or so second drags, very light easy draw, awesome throat hit, cartridge life so far as advertised, long battery life between charges, and delicious strong flavors, I give this product an overall perfect 5/5, despite the few small cons it has. Just to overview the cons, they were: slightly less vapor quantity than traditional LTv9 style e-cigs (though still a really good amount of vapor), MAYBE slightly less throat kick than some other liquids or carts (not sure on that, the throat hit is still very good on these), and long battery charge times (though they operate for about 7 - 8 hours each for me on a single charge, an ex 1.5 pack a day smoker).

Despite the couple minor flaws, I assure you will not be disappointed in this product, especially for the price.

Thanks for watching!

Thanks Def....enjoyed that! Without trying to find the post, did someone say you can....or can't...top these off?

Lu

I believe it was Leaford, and he said you CAN refill these, though the mouthpiece is not silicon anymore, so it's harder to get them off (and they can break or distort the harder plastic). One I burn through some of these I am actually going to try some techniques in dripping through the hole without taking out the plastic mouthpiece. I will let you know how my dripping endeavors go, and once I find a good way of refilling I will do a video demonstration on how to do it :)

These are a great e-cig, though I have not personally bought from Smilin..I imagine the ones I have been testing for a few weeks are the ones he sells..I find them superior to Loong's and e-cig.com's version for a few reasons:

  • they have a 6 second cut off which is long enough that you do not ever need it unless you force it.
  • You can taste the flavour just as you would with any other e-cig
  • They deliver a throat hit.
  • The batteries last a decent amount of time

Anyone who has tried the loong or the e-cig.com disposable variety knows that the feeling of inhaling the vapour is unique and unlike all other models. These hit like all other models and I get a very adequate amount of vapour from them to be enjoyable. as much as I need. The batteries are longer than even the longest loong totem battery and last a decent amount of time, comparable to any pen-style etc out there. on a count, I found they lasted ~200 rough drags.

The carts lasted a little more but this there is one downside in their design...

The cores of the loong and e-cig.com carts are made from paper. if you burn the fibrous material you find inside them, you will notice that it burns like paper and smells like paper.....not so with these...there is a small layer of paper that surrounds the element which is also covered by a tube of what I am guessing is kevlar but then the main core is made from the same material all regular carts are made from..I am guessing that this is what allows them to hit like non disposable models..

This is the downside to the upside.. you have to be very careful in judging when this material is about to start burning and not use them after this or refill..the burnt taste you will start to get is not as noticeable as the other disposable types but it will be there, just be careful. The paper will burn first, before the plastic. stop using it when this happens or else refill it before this even begins to happen.

One factory solution would be to cover the element in steel wool but maybe this would prevent 'vapour production'..An ideal solution would be to have some kind of litmus indicator built into the cart design but this probably isn't practical..

All in all the best 'named disposable' model there is to buy with one caveat.
The bonus - batteries are not the price of a mortgage.

There is some talk that this model is harder to re-fill but I have found it just as easy if not easier than its cousins..you just need the right shaped tool..something straight and pointy will do..I use the probe of a multi-meter..pop the cap off and there is a buffer below. remove this and drip. the fiber soaks it up gladly..instant results.

So far I love this Vapor King cig. What surprises me is, I love the marlboro carts. They are very good and deep throat hit. I am hard to please with the flavors and I really like the flavor. I only got the marlboro flavor. I love the draw on this cig feels more like a analog draw. Will write more later,after I have had more time with it.

Hey there,
I emailed Steve on the 12th with no reply so far. Im wondering if I have the email wrong... is it smilinenterprise, or SmilinEnterprise with uppercases?????
Thanks,
-Vapor Pete

It shouldn't matter if you use the upper case or lower case if it was spelled correctly. His supplier thread is here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...or4life-sale-get-no-know-me-get-know-you.html

He has his Skype ID and both emails posted there as:

Skype smilinenterprise
Paypal bichonf@aol.com
smilinenterprise@aol.com

You can use either email to get ahold of him I'm sure. Might wan to double check that you used the right address because it wouldn't be like him not to respond quickly.

Deficit, another great review, and very informative.

one question: how's the throat hit/

Heehee

I think this will be my next one for sure. I've used two different Ltv9 models so far (Greensmoke and Red Dragon, with Red Dragon being far superior), but it sounds like Vapor King is truly the king of the two-piece models.

Thanks again. Keep those reviews coming.

this all sounds great ! Carts that last as long as they claim to for a start (excellent!)

I am quite lazy, and am getting very bored of filling carts that only last an hour i'd so, so this sounds like the perfect solution. If the carts are lasting 200-300 draws I think that is going to be 1.5 to 2 carts per day for me Average.

Any further views on this would be great, I have emailed to try and sort out shipping etc, really excited to try it now, can't wait fir Steve to get back from his holiday so I can get it ordered ! :)
