Note: I'm only interested in a two piece PV technology.
I'm wavering between Vapor King Ultimate Ultimatum Automatic or SmokeStik Pitbull?
I like both these units but the Vapor King is priced better and has a ton of flavor cartridges available. But I really like the SmokeStik Pitbull and haven't tried their limited flavors yet.

Hope I can get one that I'll be happy enough with and not have to purchase the other brand later.

Let me know what you guys think in your opinion.

Regards, Joe

I've heard good things about Vapor4Life, so that would be the one I would go with. I would suggest going with manual batteries, though. Automatic batteries aren't sealed, so they have a hole in the connection end. If juice gets in there it could ruin the battery. Manuals don't have that hole, so you won't have to worry about it. Just a suggestion.

I use both, and I like both. I like the pit bull a little better. SS customer service is fantastic, the PB is gorgeous, there is a lifetime warranty on SS batteries, the cartos are burn-resistant, and 10% of the purchase price for the PB goes to an animal rescue organization. I prefer SS autos over V4L autos, but SS doesn't make a manual battery. When i want a manual i usually use my Riva- with Kr8 cartos from V4L or vapor nine. However, the v4L manuals that i started with are still workhorses and I use them as back-up/travel batteries.

added: plan on purchasing an extra battery with either kit. If you turn out to be a heavy vaper, that 3rd battery can cover the times when the 1st hasn't quite finished charging.

1. I would not get automatic batteries. Most people here recommend manual batteries. They won't turn on by accident in wind or vibration and it's easier to control your hit. And you don't have to drag extra to warm up the atty.

2. I agree - go with the Vapor4Life Vapor King (if that's the Vapor King you mean) if you want more flexibility. And I often put a 901 atty and cart right on it with no adapter (or drip tip since I have the manual batteries which do not have an open hole in the end). I am being seduced by that combination - airy but very vapory and flavorful. One thing to know about Vapor4Life carts though - they use two kinds of cartomizers, WOW carts which can be hot on your lips and Coolcarts (that is what they call the blanks). But it can be hard to tell which prefilleds are in which carts. With the hotter ones, one suggestion is to cut a small circle out of the middle of the end of a carto "condom" (the stretchy clear cap that comes on each end of a new carto), then slip that over the mouth end to keep your lips cooler with those.

I have to agree KR808D-1 is one of the best small batteries available. As Scottbee pointed out there are a lot of sources and variety in Attys and cartomizers for the KR808D-1. At this time you don't really know what you are going to end up liking and don't want to lock yourself into a brand with much more limited options.
I started with the V4L XL and never regretted it. Now I have a varieity of batteries, different cartos and attys but find myself vaping with the 606 most of the time, Although I don;t use their cartomizers or liquids anymore. That was the good thing about buying a popular type of battery I wasn't locked into their other products.

You will definitely get a lot more recommendations on this forum for the KR808D-1 model and also for Vapor4Life.
That's not necessarily because it's better, but because that vendor has a presence on this forum so more people here use them.

Having said that, I have never seen anyone that has been unhappy with a Smokestik product.
But I've never seen very many people particularly unhappy with their KR808D-1 models either.

This is exactly the kind of thing I have been hearing from people I respect.
And yes, you are certainly one of those people.
:)

Since the Pitbull is an RN4081 couldn't you get a manual RN4081 battery for it?

I would also check out Bloog I have not tried them I have tried alot of V4L stuff and they are not bad. The good thing if you went with V4L or Bloog they use the same KR808D-1 threading so you would have the option to try both vendors cartomizers without having to buy a different battery.

Bloog is great but a bit more pricey for a starter, i am in no way knocking bloog because i happen to use a bloog and the vapor king.
