Maybe it's just because I've been vaping mostly light flavors... but I find that after taking a few puffs of a juice, I can't really taste it anymore. I end up having to wait a bit or add more liquid before I can taste it. Instead I just taste an almost metallic, burnt taste, which isn't pleasant. Has anyone else noticed this? :vapor:

BTW... I'm direct dripping if that has anything to do with it.

"normally" you get anywhere from 4 to 10 tokes on 3 drops, depending on which atty and which wattage (LR or Reg).
Usually I notice the flavor diminishes, and/or a burnt taste. that's the signal to redrip.
The maximum flavor and vapor (and i like a mostly VG w/ some PG which gives more vapor) will come for me at around the 2nd or 3rd toke. The first is a bit too juicy flavored but then just the right amount of juice and heat give the best combo of taste and vapor.

IMO the ultimate vape is when the atty is almost dry and there is just the right amount of juice and it's never more than 3 good drops. Even 2 just to get it right. hope this helps.

that would work if the cartos were as good tasting as perfect dripping does. thats why most drip to get the ultimate flavor.
also cartos have an issue with burnt filter material that must be questionable for health.
The advent of good juice feeders, i mean really good, like the Reo, Journey Man, Feedimus... are the ultimate to date.

Maybe atty needs a cleaning.burning?

I drip also. I will start out using atty as is, after using for awhile, seems performance will diminish regardless of cleanings. Thats when I use tweezers and remove the mesh.
Sometimes I remove the bridge also, sometimes not, depends on mood. i see no real difference.

This also allows me to see the coil better and, just mho, allows for better dry burn, as the coil is not covered. At the very least I can now see the coil so I can gauge the burns more easily.
