Vapor production going down after cleaning?

I have a natilus aspire that after cleaning and refilling the vapor production goes down... I'm not a cloud chaser and the amount of vapor suffices but its just odd to see it almost cut in half? I've rebuilt before and its just not my thing.. I like to go outside and do things instead of filling my cotton and carry a juice bag lol. I clean my coils regularly because I will get a burnt taste if I don't. Why does the vapor production go down so derasticly?

Make sure that your coil was dry after cleaning it. What I've found is if my coil is still wet with water after doing the final rinse on them then vapor production as well as flavor is cut drastically. Once it's dried out completely and wicks in the new liquid it seems to go back to what it was prior to having taken it out of the tank to begin with.

Other than that, I'd have no idea, perhaps the coil was just plain going south on you before cleaning the tank/coil.

I chucked my Nautilus tanks a long time ago for that very same reason. Replaced them with the Kayfun and R91 RTA's..these both have a big 4.5 ml tank
but you would have to wrap a coil and wick it yourself, no big deal really ..I run a simple 27g 1.3 ohm coil with a cotton wick, fill it with juice and enjoy vaping it all day long till I got to refill it again..much better, consistent clouds and flavor so good that only a cotton wick can deliver for me..and I don't have to buy those expensive replacement Nautilus coils anymore
either...hope this helps...good luck!

See this is something I've debated on... Getting an RTA.. I can't stand refilling and I've wrapped plenty of coils..

Its not from the could being wet cuz I let em dry out. It happens on every clearo I get.. Vapor production/flavor is great on the first go, after having to clean it so it will last a week(how often I replace) it becomes sub par.. But stays there and doesn't continue to decrease.. Its very confusing..

I might have to go RTA cuz I can't stand this.. And wrapping an aspire will die out eventually (rubber grommets get burnt, the filler material becomes spongy... Among other things if anything is sub optimal) I just want to run a simple single coil build with decent production, no flooding and no constant refilling.. I may as well be asking for the earth to stop turning lol

Well the only other suggestion I could come up with would be to get more tanks. Then put your favorite liquid in each tank so that you don't have to clean out the tank / coil every time that you want to change the liquid, just use the tank that has the liquid in it that you want to vape. Sure it's a bit pricey up front having to buy multiple tanks but it alleviates having to clean out tanks and coils all the time that you wish to keep changing liquids.

I've made the assumption that you are cleaning the tank and coil because you changed liquids, else I wouldn't bother to change / clean the coils/tanks myself.

I primarily just keep 4 (or maybe it's 5) tanks laying around with the liquids that I vape all the time. a couple Nautilus tanks, AeroTank mega's, Protank 2 with the addon bottom adjustable air control, and an awful iciga ninja tank. But I'm one of those folks that doesn't like to vape on the same liquid all day long, so I'll pop on a different tank multiple times each day. I'm sure if I only had one Nautilus tank I'd not be nearly as happy with vaping if I had to vape the same liquid all day long.

When I first started vaping I only had the one protank 2 and hated vaping one liquid all day or changing out the coil and cleaning out the tank a couple times a day to change liquids so off to the store I went to get more tanks.

Oh and it's just so much more convenient to me to carry around a spare coil head in case there is a problem with the ones I'm using in the tanks that I take with me instead of having to rebuild a coil on the fly if something goes wrong with it. But to each their own. I've read of people that can build a coil with their eyes closed, personally I don't have those mad skillz.

This is the black Russian 91% RTA on the black provari that I used to run the Nautilus on..sweet spot is 3.9v and the vape is consistent from fill up to refill time...about 12hrs ..a good upgrade from the Nautilus for sure[emoji4]

I agree with you about enjoying different flavors throughout the day but instead of fiddling around with different tanks I find it much more convenient to have different devices at the ready.. In the morning I usually set up 3 or 4 devises all with different flavors and ready to go. Two are drippers on the mechanicals and are used when I'm the mood to blow some serious clouds and the two RTA's on the Provari's are used when I want to kick back, drink a beer or two and maybe watch a movie or a football game.. Also I use the provari/R91 when I'm down at the casino..take a hit or two for my nicotine fix then I can concentrate on winning some money... But I like vaping one devise, put it down and vape another, then another, switching flavors instantly..its awesome to vape these days![emoji4]
