I know the difference between the two have been discussed 1,000 times. I am talking about Vapor production this time around. I have the Zmax and I run some 2 and 3 ohm and I feel that I get more production on the 3 ohm. I run a set 9 watt power to them both. My question is, am I thinking clearly or is it a placebo effect that the 3 ohm is making more vapor at the same wattage? My thinking is that the higher the ohm the larger the coil. This leads me to think that while I use more power to heat the coil, there is more coil to vaporize the liquid.

That's what makes sense to me; that having more total area of liquid on coil that more vapor would be produced, but I really don't know if that's the case. It's hard to test, because in my experience having two identical same brand same ohm atties often produces different performance for each one. There is so many small variables in atties that seem to affect things. I would say yes, larger coil equals more vapor at a given wattage, but is the difference noticable? And does it matter how far or evenly each turn of the coil is spaced?

Will the ohm to voltage ratio affect throat hit at all or just vapor production?

Yes with all things being equal more vapor will produce more throat hit. Tho with different devices some can produce more vapor with less throat hit and/or flavor. If that makes sense.
