I have what may be a simple question. I was under the impression that vapor production depended mostly on VG/PG mix; however I have seen that is not always the case. In other words, same equipment and same mix does not produce the same vapor from brand to brand or even flavor to flavor from the same vendor.

My question is, what else affects vapor production aside from the equipment and the VG/PG mix?

Vapor production is dependent on the heat level applied to the mix. Some ecigs don't do that as well as others. The two best vapor producers I've found are the 306 atty with a drip tip and Boge cartomizers. Joye mega tanks are good. A lot is dependent on the wicking level of the atomizer and the bridge and coil construction. Voltage can contribute to overall taste and vapor.

Assuming same equipment as you said, it is vendor (could be juice) specific and may depend on other ingredients. JC Red Oak (100% VG) is much thinner than other brand VG, almost water like and hardly thicker than their PG line. There could be distilled water and alcohol in the mix according to ingredients list, still thick vapor somehow. AVE, also 100% VG, is so thick that it's hard to squeeze it out of bottle, lots of vapor as expected. Dekang 50/50 USA Mix is more oil like than water, but not viscous and the vapor is thicker, not necessarily more, but thicker. Their 100% VG juice produces twice as much vapor that hangs in the air for 5 minutes, very oil like but still not viscous.

However, I have not noticed any difference among different flavors of same type juices in brands mentioned above.
