Vapor seeping out between battery and atty? 510

Is this a common problem?
My moms Joye 510 seeps out some vapor right in between the battery and atty.
vapor is still coming out the mouthpiece but a decent amount seeps out through the other spot.
why is this happening?

It is part of the design to allow air to be drawn in from the bottom of the atty and it is the norm for all vaporizers designs I have seen.

It may sound silly and may not be the case, but make sure the attty/batt is screwed down fairly tightly as well. I have seen people screw it in until it just stops, but it usually has a bit of a turn left in it to make it "hand tightened." Generally it should have no gaps except, as Mauzey stated, the draw vents.
