Taste is subjective. This review is being done based on my tastes, preferences and vaping habits. YMMV
I have no high tech measuring devices so all the information Ive gathered is sensory.
I use the word awesome and exclamation points frequently. I will try to use other adjectives and punctuation, but these pop up most often.
Short rundown of my habits:
I go through about 1-3ml of juice a day.
I take 5-10 puffs within 20 min. on average. Like a puff or two, 5 min. later another puff or two, and so on. This of course depends on what Im doing throughout the day. I might also go 2-3 hours without vaping and I sleep 8-10 hours a day.
And now for the review...
I took it out of the box and immediately started vaping. It lasted 28 hours on the charge it came with. This is not straight vaping time, I did sleep and work during this time, but thats what I do on normal days and these are my findings on my normal usage. I took it to the blink and charging took 3.5 hours using the V4L wall-USB adapter and charger cable that came with the batt. The draw is perfect for me, not too tight, not too airy, simply perfect. Although it is large and bulky looking I had no issues with hands-free vaping.
Pros:
-Its auto! I absolutely love auto batts, they have always been my favorite.
-Appears to be sealed auto. Great function to have especially since I am not the most diligent person when it comes to flooding tanks/cartos. Although I made sure to use a syringe to fill the smileos to avoid any overfilling.
-One problem I foresaw was with charging. This thing has no lights on it and since it uses a wall adapter and USB cable (with no lights) to charge there is no LED that changes when its finished charging. Now, the reason this is under Pros is because there is a light on it!! Its a little hidden light on the end just above (or below, depending on how you are holding it) the mini-USB port that is red while charging and turns green when its charged. I think that is awesome!
-Low light. I dont particularly like lights on my ecigs. Most of my batts are stealths and I was sorely disappointed with the backlit button on the manual stealths. Although this batt has the hidden LED on the end, it is so low that it took a while before I even noticed it. I love that!
-5v vaping!! For my first year of vaping I rarely used anything other than my auto PT. Now I can vape hands and cable free at 5v!
Cons:
-Really just the normal auto batt cons. No on/off function. Air/noise/vibration can activate it when youre not using it, so I recommend removing the carto when not in use to prevent possibly burning your carto.
-5 second cutoff. On the one I use it has a 5 second cutoff. This may be a con to some people. I havent had an issue with it so far, but Im generally a fan of longer cutoff times.
Undecided:
-No cover for the charger port. I can see pros and cons for this.
Pros: If it did have one it wouldnt look as sleek. If the cover was attached it could break off, if it was detached it would get lost easily. Ive had phones with the same type of port, some of them had covers, some of them didnt and these are the things that happened with those.
Cons: Dust/dirt/crap getting in the port. If you are really worried about it and want a cover the condoms that come on the smileos fit nicely over the end of the batt. You wont be able to use the batt with the condom on because it restricts the airflow, but when it is in your pocket/bag you could cover it for added protection. I've carried mine around in my vaping bag and pockets and it doesn't have anything in the port so far.
Let me know if you have any questions/comments, Ill be happy to address them.
