sure it leaves a residue, not nearly as bad as a the brown one from cigarette smoke all over your walls, windows, etc.
I use vinegar and hot water for window cleaning, a wet sock then newspaper for drying, no fuzzies, streak free and cheap/bio-friendly.
we'd moved to this house two summers ago, and at my old one I'd painted about 5 years prior to moving and I still can see when I took the pictures down to pack off the walls, the square surrounded by icky brown over the light grey I'd painted previously. YUCK.
we've got yellow here (it's really yellow this gal took a crayon box and did each room I think, the lavendar bathroom's growing on me though *lol*) but I wipe it down with a long handled wall mop thing about once every couple months and less now that we vape, because it's not as brown.
